In the dark-light box, HdhQ111 /+ mice showed a trend towards an increased number of light box entries (males: Hdh+/+ 13.8±1.0, HdhQ111 /+ 15.7±1.4; females: Hdh+/+ 1.57±0.97, HdhQ111/+ 18.8±1.62; ANOVA genotype effect p=0.08), indicating reduced anxiety compared to wild-type mice and consistent with findings in the open field arena.
