Although vitamin D intake failed to reach statistical significance with regard to the association with an increased risk of IBD in the univariate analysis (unadjusted OR = 0.707; 95% CI, 0.46–1.09), this association was statistically significant in a multivariate model adjusting for IBD types (adjusted OR = 2.574; 95% CI, 1.13–5.85).
