However, of interest to this review, the authors reported a trend towards an improvement from the first to the second session for the sleep compared to the no-sleep groups (which nonetheless failed to reach statistical significance, p = 0.052), and, among those who slept, significantly greater learning was observed for those with a 12 h interval between sessions compared to those with a 24 h interval, suggesting that the benefits of sleep were greater for the shortest between-session interval.
