With considerable differences in tumor biology between adult and pediatric cancers, there may be significant differences in the presence, function and behavior of TSC in pediatric malignancies.

studied the prognostic significance of induction of VM in cutaneous malignant melanoma and correlated melanoma metastasis in a 10-year follow-up study and concluded that presence of PAS-positive loops and networks were highly significant prognostic markers of metastasis in cutaneous melanoma [ 56 ].

In the last two decades, the availability of the robotic platform has created an increasing trend toward the minimally invasive surgical resection of HCC as large as hemihepatectomies [ 71 , 72 , 73 , 74 ].

Despite that, we validated the trend at borderline significance ( p -value: 0.06).

There was a significant trend towards an improved response at 3–6 months if the DSM-TACE was administered in a selective vs. non-selective manner: at 3–6 months, complete response (CR) was 26.9% (7/26) vs. 7.3% (8/110); while partial response (PR) was 26.9% (7/26) vs. 19.1% (21/110), with p = 0.026.

However as with the unmatched cohort, there was a numerical trend towards improved disease control in the ablation group (41% achieving and maintaining CR vs. 32%).

However, there may be significant differences in the management and treatment of lung cancer in its early stages that contribute to disparities in rates of mortality and incidence among rural vs. urban communities, as will be explained in the next section. 4.2.

More interestingly was the fact that in the setting of stable disease after 6 cycles, those treated with maintenance cetuximab compared with no-maintenance showed a trend, although non-significant, for longer TTP of 9.2 vs. 6.6 ( p = 0.10), and OS of 19.8 vs. 7.7 ( p = 0.22).

A second contemporaneous study, D9902A, in which enrollment was 44 discontinued early (N = 98), showed a trend towards improved survival, which did not reach statistical 45 significance.The treatment effect remained strong after performing adjustments for imbalances in baseline prognostic factors, post study treatment chemotherapy use, and non-prostate cancer-related deaths and suggested a favorable risk-benefit ratio for sipuleucel-T in patients with advanced prostate cancer [ 23 ].

The fourth important feature was the gray-level co-occurrence matrix Informational Measure of Correlation (glcm_Imc1 96 × 96), and it had a negative trend: a higher feature value resulted in a lower negative SHAP value.

Notably, only the CC-0 showed a similar trend with the non-NACT group regarding overall survival, while the other subgroups exhibited a numerical trend without reaching statistical significance ( Figure 3 B).

A trial combining gefitinib and cediranib, targeting EGFR and VEGFR, showed a trend towards an improved response rate in recurrent GBM patients in a phase II trial [ 61 ].

The existing literature on this subject matter now provides compelling evidence pointing towards a statistical trend in favour of extended OS and PFS in cases involving craniotomy with resection, as opposed to the purely diagnostic stereotactic biopsy procedure.

The distribution of race between the group of subjects with HCC recurrence showed a trend toward a higher proportion of White and a lower proportion of Black patients; however, this was not a statistically significant difference.
