Wheat straw application resulted in a positive trend of winter barley yield under higher N conditions ( Figure 3A ), which could be either caused by remineralization of immobilized N during the growing season, but also due to decomposition and subsequent N release contained in the wheat straw itself ( Di and Cameron, 2002 ).
At the site scale, the species dissimilarity and turnover both enlarged with increasing slope position difference, especially in the middle-aged community, but the species nestedness had no consistent trend among sites, except a decreasing trend in the middle-aged forest.
Discussion The Initial and Relay Floristic Components of Post-fire Regenerating Communities For the within-site variation of species composition, there wasn’t an obvious trend of species turnover change in the regeneration of forest communities over the first 10 years.
thaliana , and species-specific differences in the response of photosynthesis genes may be significant, even between grass species ( Kümpers et al., 2017 ).
Results High Genetic Variation for Phenology Within a Population Accessions from the Moonrise Ridge population showed highly significant differences in their phenology and response to vernalization treatment.
According to the phenotypic comparison between two NILs, it was deduced that there was a QTL in the target region if the phenotypic difference was extremely significant by statistical test.
Electrical conductivity values were extremely variable ( Table 1 ), with highly significant differences linked to the origin of the biomass ( Figure 1 ); chars derived from wood showed low values of conductivity compared to chars of non-plant origin, with fourfold differences.
These shade-adaptive effects of parental shade were pronounced and highly significant for seedlings growing in shade, but slight and generally non-significant for seedlings growing in sun.
Cluster E (209 transcripts) comprised transcripts that were least abundant at the large green and green–red stages, while transcripts in cluster F (312 transcripts) exhibited an increasing trend in abundance throughout the developmental period.
In line with the higher content of pigments in hp2 than in WT fruits, an overall trend of higher values of fruit color intensity was observed in the mutant fruits during ripening (Bk to Bk12) regardless of the light conditions ( Supplementary Figure 3 ).
aphid arbuscular mycorrhizal symbiosis phosphate transporter plant tolerance Solanum lycopersicum volatile organic compound water deficit Considering A N rates, a decreasing trend was observed from NS to MS and SS conditions.
mosseae , in agreement with statistical analysis that showed a highly significant influence of both S and M variables for all the considered VOCs ( Table 1 ).
Positive correlations were highly significant in all cases, although r 2 of the regression of the four means was modest, with values of 0.11, 0.14, 0.18, and 0.21 for plant height, DM , panicle number, and seed number, respectively (Table 1 ).
However, at 14–18 DAS, plant height showed an increasing trend, which was observed soon after the seedlings emerged above the water surface (Figure 3A ).
Clones that had been trained for nutrients in shade placed more ramets (all ramets, marginally significant pair wise marginal effect) into shade compared to clones trained for nutrients in light, while there was no such difference in light patches (Table 2 and Figure 3A ).
