Scutum length was significant in nymphs (F = 6.77, p = 0.015) and highly significant in males (F = 19.88, p < 0.001).
RSM results The ANOVA results of MPCI for mechanical properties indicate that the model is highly significant, explaining 88% of the total variability in the response, as shown in Table 9 (model’s p < 0.001 and a high F-value of 19.27).
The differences in AUCs between the models were highly significant (P < 0.001), even after controlling for multiple comparisons.
A paired two-group t test indicated that the difference is highly significant, with p < 0.001.
The cubic spline fit of pterin relative fluorescence was highly significant for both female and male flies (Females: F 9 = 24.58, p < 0.001, with the fit explaining 49.5% of the variance; Males: F 9 = 10.87, p < 0.001, with the fit explaining 43.3% of the variance) indicating a strong seasonal effect.
The full RDA model (including environmental and spatial variables) was highly significant (F = 2.1, p < 0.001), and the first two axes of the full model explained 77% of the total variance (Fig. 4 a).
Highly significant positive correlations were found between the percentages of lauric acid in LT and hair in the analysis of the total dataset ( r = 0.48; P = 0.001) and when farm 1 was analyzed separately (UCKxBEEF, r = 0.49; P < 0.05).
