The association ALS-FTD seemed to express higher atrophy ratings compared to ALS patients for the motor cortex, anterior cingulate, temporal and occipital lobes and a statistical trend for the orbitofrontal cortex. 34 , 35 DTI shows reduced white matter integrity relative in frontal and temporal regions when comparing to healthy older adults.

We also detected a statistical trend for sex difference.
