The risk of bed-sharing next to a parent who smoked was largely confined to the younger infants while the risk of bed-sharing in the absence of these hazards was not quite significant among the younger infants (OR = 1.6 [95% CI: 0.96–2.7]) and seemingly protective among the older infants, albeit the numbers are very small.

It is important to note however that the Freezers had a lower cognitive status compared to Non-Freezers (t(28) = 0.64, p = 0.053), although this was not quite significant.

Interestingly, when the CD11b + CD45 dim microglial population was evaluated in mice treated with either XPro1595 or etanercept and allowed to survive for 24-hours, the estimated number of CD11b + CD45 dim microglia in the lesioned cortex had increased in etanercept-treated mice, though not quite significant, and significantly in XPro1595-treated mice as compared to saline-treated mice (Figure 3 B, upper left graph).
Incubation with SDF-1 + ATP led to a noticeable, albeit not quite significant, decrease as well.
Similar patterns were also observed in the deeper sediment, but the differences were not quite significant.
The elevated frequency of inheritance of ChrVIIa from the ME49 parent was significantly different from the expected 50/50 ratio expected under random segregation (P ≤ 0.05), while the elevated frequency of inheritance of ChrIII was not quite significant, perhaps due to the small sample size (Additional file 1 : Figure S3).
