Taken together, these results indicate that alpha power is indeed related to proactive control processes, in a way that is independent of the contributions of theta power, and, conversely, that theta power may be related to reactive control processes, in a way that is independent of the contributions of alpha (although this result is only marginally significant).
Post-hoc comparisons indicated that significant mean differences emerged for respondents in the emotional disclosure condition; respondents reported less symptoms after the cognitive reappraisal response ( M = 1.30, SD = 0.33) compared with the socio-affective response ( M = 1.86, SD = 0.74; p = .008) or no response condition ( M = 1.69, SD = 0.72; p = .071), although the latter effect was only marginally significant.
In addition, we examined both vulnerable factors (e.g., pain catastrophizing) and protective factors (e.g., pain resilience) underlying the effects of MBSR on pain-related dysfunction, although group difference at post-treatment was only marginally significant for pain resilience.
Only four genes showed a significant loss of fitness in the TraDIS data at 90 min but not 30, and these were only marginally significant compared to most of the genes that lost fitness at both time points, showing that most of the fitness effects detected by TraDIS occur during the early stages of exposure to model honey.
Non-creatinine-corrected results for pooled (men and women) and female participants were also similar and/or slightly attenuated, though MiBP was not significantly higher in pooled nail care workers compared to NHANES Asian Americans, and only marginally significant when the analysis was restricted to female participants ( Table 4 ).
For the SPQ, Tukey-corrected follow-up pairwise comparisons revealed that people without influence scored significantly lower than people influenced on fear (t (107) = 3.38, p = 0.006) and people influenced both on fear and not to fear (t (107) = 2.55, p = 0.058), but this difference was only marginally significant.

Butterflies had a different pattern in the spring: butterfly abundance declines were only marginally significant (at α = 0.10 level) at an average annual rate of 9.49% attributable to the fixed factor year when controlling for the other variables in the model (spring abundance model, year: (t (df=10) = −1.836, p = 0.0962, Table S5 and Figure 3 ).
After adjusting for several covariates, sexual violence perpetration was independently associated with suicide attempts in boys (OR adjusted for boys 1.80 [95% confidence intervals: 1.53, 2.11]), whereas in girls, the association was only marginally significant (OR adjusted for girls 1.27 [1.00, 1.63]).
