Table 4 presents the descriptive statistics of the sedentary behaviours used in the cluster analysis for each cluster in the units of hours per week, and the highly significant differences reflect the cluster solution derived from the ordinal transformation of the data, as expected.
Excerpts
The effect of thinking FGC is harmful or not was highly significant in this study.
Women living in the most deprived neighborhoods presented a marginally non-significant increase in the daily consumption of fruits and vegetables and decrease in leisure-time physical activity levels.
The Bartlett’s test of sphericity was 1593 and significant at p < 0.001, which indicated a highly significant correlation among the survey questions.
There were also highly significant increases in the prevalence of hypertension and raised cholesterol associated with increasing BMI in both genders.
As can be seen, the number of working conditions modified by the intervention tends to be associated with increased intervention success (even though only marginally significant, OR = 2.71, 95% CI 0.94 – 11.12).
Our study highlights three main risks: i) We observed an increased risk of overall stroke mortality with increasing arsenic concentration in drinking water, with a significant trend test and risks in the range of 1.03-1.75 for the high arsenic groups ii) These risks were particularly marked in women rather than men and iii) These risks were also particularly marked for outcomes coded as sequelae of stroke, with increased risks, e.g. 1.64 (95% CI: 1.08-2.53) even at arsenic concentrations of 10-50 μg/L which are within the WHO permissible limit.
In addition, mean differences for these analyses were considered borderline significant if p-value was between .01 and .05.
These associations remained highly significant, even after adjustment for age, education, and childhood economic adversity.
an overall trendgold
Nonetheless, we did not find an overall trend toward increased heroin use, and the largest group actually decreased heroin use.
Furthermore, the effects in persons who were familiar with Healthy Ageing pointed in the same direction (3.0-8.6%), albeit of borderline significance.
Both models are highly significant with parameters.
There was also an increasing trend in mild and moderate depression among both boys and girls whose parents had low education and had unemployed during past year (Tables 5 and 6 ).
The only marginally significant difference that was found was for having any children, with participants in the control group trending to be more likely to have children than participants in the intervention group (p = .052).
The prevalence of OAD use increased from 1.8% in 2005 to 2.4% in 2011; however a decreasing trend in incidence of OAD use was observed, particularly in those aged 70 years and older.
Physical activity The log-binomial regression models showed that after adjusting for age and sex, a higher number of close friends and being widowed were associated with being physically active, although the latter association was only marginally statistically significant (Model A in Table 2 ).
Although our results are still well below this level, the data suggest an increasing trend.
Discussion Our results showed that not only individualized PBD but also institutionalized PBD might be social determinants of health after individual-level factors such as SES had been taken into account, although the health impact of institutionalized PBD was not fully statistically significant and was lower than that of the individualized PBD.
In adolescents musculoskeletal pain is most prevalent [ 2 - 4 ], showing an increasing trend in the last two decades [ 5 ], with females being more troubled [ 4 , 5 ].
There was an interesting trend toward increased VUR with an increase in the number of community involvement actions, suggesting a dose-effect response.
Hospital data which is currently collected only from the state sector show an increasing trend in hospitalization for NCD such as diabetes, hypertensive disease and ischemic heart diseases and mortality reports indicate that leading causes of deaths in public hospitals are cerebrovascular disease, acute myocardial infarction and heart failure [ 10 , 11 ].
They also were of the opinion that an increasing trend in literacy is a protective factor for malaria morbidity.
The third study, [ 68 ] an integrated substance abuse-domestic violence treatment approach using cognitive behavioral treatment with alcohol dependent men, showed a trend towards greater reduction in IPV and significantly more days abstinent among those in the experimental group compared to a comparison group who received substance-only therapy.
Diabetes We observed a marginally significant effect of group suggesting that participants in the intervention group were less ambivalent than participants in the control group (Table 4 ).
a clear trendgold
A greater time period may be required to observe a clear trend in prevalence rates, especially when comparing studies with different sample sizes, age ranges and using varying methods.
