Excerpts
During the Pearson correlation, highly significant and moderately significant were defined as P < 0.05 and 0.10, respectively. 3.
3.3 Soil salt ions To investigate the effects of different treatments on soil ion content in saline cotton fields ( Tables 2 – 4 ), the results demonstrated that salt concentration, irrigation method, and their interaction had highly significant effects ( P < 0.05) on the concentrations of Ca2 + , Mg2 + , K + , Na + , HCO 3 - , Cl - , and SO 4 2 - in the 0~20 cm soil layer.
Differences were considered significant, very significant and highly significant (indicated by *, ** , *** in the figures) if P < 0.05, P < 0.01, and P < 0.001, respectively.
Highly significant (P ≤ 0.05) trends were noticed in the relation between carbon management index (CMI) and agronomic efficiency (AE tN , AE fN ), particularly for the wheat crop which is grown under relatively drier conditions than rice.
However, the relationship between the field and greenhouse screening trials was not significant except for AUDPC and DI of 2019, which was barely significant at p < 0.05.
Contrarily, the ABAR2 gene was highly significant ( p< 0.05) in its expression pattern during cold stress.
Reduction in moisture content and increment in dry weight percentage in the stems were detected throughout the blanching period, and highly significant difference was found between the post-blanching samples and their counterparts ( P < 0.05).
A highly significant ( P ≤ 0.05) decrease in K + content in leaves (20.52% reduction) and a smaller reduction in the stems (8.10%) was observed at the end of the vegetative growth stage of S. salsa treated with NaCl ( Figure 5C ).
Correlation analysis Significant or extremely significant linear positive correlations were observed between rice yield and the number of productive panicles ( P < 0.05), thousand grain weight ( P < 0.01), total biomass ( P < 0.01), harvest index ( P < 0.01), post-heading dry matter ( P < 0.01), grain nitrogen uptake ( P < 0.01), grain phosphorus uptake ( P < 0.01), internal nitrogen use efficiency ( P < 0.01), and internal phosphorus use efficiency ( P < 0.01).
Results AMMI Analysis The combined ANOVA analysis showed highly significant ( p ≤ 0.05) genotype differences over locations and seasons suggesting that both grain and fodder yields varied across the environments.
Network analysis of the co-occurrence of the most abundant 50 fungal species revealed that Thanatephorous showed a highly significant negative co-occurrence with Plectosphaerella and Fusarium (P < 0.05, r < -0.4).
The cluster ITC1 – ITC2 – ITC3 – ITC4 – ITC5 – ITC6 ( Table 3A ) showed a highly significant level of differentiation among populations ( FST = 0.146, p < 0.05), while diversity within populations ( FIS = 0.022) resulted not significant.
In particular, highly significant values, contributed by two of the three sources of variation (genotype, time, and concentration of metal), were observed in root treated with Cd ( P < 0.05).
lavandulaefolia (marginally significant) ( P < 0.05; Figure 7 ).
Control efficiency showed a highly significant positive correlation (P< 0.05) with SS content, SOD activity, and POD activity, and a significant positive correlation (P< 0.05) with PAL activity.
3.4 Effects of different grassland utilization methods on the soil seed bank of the upper growth grasses The effect of utilization method and different soil depths on the seed germination of upper growth grasses forage was highly significant ( Table 5 , P<0.05), and the interaction between the two had no significant effect on the seed germination of upper growth grasses forage.
A highly significant positive correlation of AMY activity was observed with PE and PG activities ( P < 0.05) and between BMY and PG activities in chitosan-treated fruits ( P < 0.01).
Results Analysis of Variance Single site ANOVA (data not shown) revealed highly significant differences (p<0.05) among the genotypes for pod yield in each of the test environments ( Table 3 ).
The highest correlations of color features in the three growth stages were obtained for 532 nm-VAR ( R = 0.39, p < 0.01), which reached extremely significant correlation, 461 nm-MEA ( R = 0.18, p < 0.05) and 522 nm-MEA ( R = −0.33, p < 0.05).
The comparison of the mean percentage of Np pods under greenhouse UV light exposure and field conditions revealed a marginally significant difference ( P = 0.05).
Mean performance and variation for phenotypic traits The pooled ANOVA revealed highly significant (p< 0.05) differences among genotypes for all growth and yield traits except internodal length, which was non-significant ( Table 1 ).
showed a trendP< 0.05
The litter C:N ratio showed a trend of decreasing and then increasing with increasing sampling time at 6 and 10 years of recovery, and the value in October was markedly ( P< 0.05) greater than that in May ( Figure 5B ).
In contrast to fresh canopy biomass, there was also a marginally significant interaction between all three grouping factors ( p = 0.05), and significant interactions between each pair of factors ( Table 4 , Supplementary Table S1 ).
In contrast, vein density, leaf thickness, and stomatal density showed a decreasing trend, and the north slope exhibited a substantial reduction of 17.15%, 9.61%, and 9.94% in comparison to the south slope (P< 0.05; Figures 1A, C, F ).
