The fourth step is to adjust observed mutation counts ( y ) based on functional impact scores for nearly significant elements ( q < 0.25).
Excerpts
In line with our findings, intratumoral M2 macrophage levels as well as myeloid cell infiltrate levels (monocytes, M0, M1, and M2 macrophages) showed a trend toward elevated levels in NR glioblastoma patients before anti-PD-1 therapy (Fig. 5e ), supporting the hypothesis that suppressive myeloid cell subsets impair the induction of antitumor T cell responses by ICB therapy.
Because 30% sequence identity results in widely different e -values (from nonsignificant to highly significant), for CAZy family assignments, we examined sequence conservation (percentage identity over CAZy domain length).
Interestingly, a highly significant increase was observed in the frequency of spontaneous release events (mEJPs; Fig. 2k ), perhaps consistent with elevation in AZ markers.
Fine-mapping methods refine marginally significant loci and discard associated but noncausal SNPs by accounting for LD, often within a Bayesian perspective 14 – 17 .
The enrichment among five relevant terms is highly significant (Supplementary Table 12 ) and strengthens at higher resolutions, suggesting increasingly precise localization of causal variants.
Such magnetic field and gate modulation of superconducting Fermi arcs open up a new avenue for the manipulation of Majorana fermions, which might be significant to the topological quantum computation.
The mutation loads of these sets show highly significant, positive correlations with the loads of driver mutations across tumors in the respective class (Fig. 2b , which is not observed for most of the randomly chosen sets of mutation; Supplementary Fig. 7 ).
Overall, noncHLAIp presentation showed a trend of enrichment in cancer samples in ipMSDB (Fig. 8c ).
Much more surprising was the highly significant, approximately 2-fold increase in fully saturated lipids resulting from PUFA supplementation (Fig. 2a ), due to the significantly increased abundance of phospholipid-incorporated saturated fatty acids (Fig. 2a , inset).
Furthermore, we could observe a highly significant positive correlation between the peak serum type I IFN levels elicited by different viral infections and the frequencies of Vβ5 + iTreg cells (Fig. 1g and Supplementary Fig. 2d ).
9a ), and found that patients with PARP inhibitor treatment showed a trend of higher risk of bone fracture, serious bone, or musculoskeletal pain, as well as osteoporosis/osteonecrosis, compared with patients with Physician’s Choice Treatment or Placebo (Supplementary Fig. 9b ).
For both daytime and nighttime, the relative risk (RR) curve showed an increasing trend as temperature increased beyond the MMT.
The pairwise correlations between allele effect size estimates in the different cohorts were all highly significant, ranging from 0.44 between QIMR and UKBR and 0.91 between UKB and SUNLIGHT.

Salinity Estuaries had highly variable salinity over the sampling period although there was a slight trend for an overall decrease (Fig. 1 , Table 2 ), this was also reflected in RF models (Supplementary Fig. 3 ).
Currently, neither model incorporates a detailed description of bonding or chemical effects of the remaining bound electrons, which may be significant for understanding the unexpected dynamics of aromatic rings and the protein backbone.

However, we observe only a slight trend towards more generations in individuals with younger C 14 dates (Fig. 3a ), which suggests that the process of admixture with steppe-related ancestry occurred over several hundred years rather than as a single pulse.

In contrast AML blasts within the same host showed no changes in, or a slight trend toward increased proliferation (Fig. 4b , right panel).
In TCGA, all the top 10 deleted genes displayed significantly reduced levels of expression, whereas seven out of the top ten amplified genes showed a trend of increase in expression (although not statistically significant) likely due to the small number of samples harboring gene amplifications in heterogenous pri-PCa cohort (Supplementary Fig. 11a ).
Integration of DMG and DEG datasets showed a trend of differential methylation within genes functioning upstream in the pathway (Fig. 6c ), and a significant proportion (37.3–40.8%) of the 1982 genes that interact with CCA1/TOC1 differentially expressed in msh1 memory (Supplementary Fig. 7b ), reflecting sizeable enrichment.
In general, morphologies n409 and n127 showed a trend for some cells with deep-like traits (firing towards the peak) versus n128 and sup1 (a superficial cell reconstructed in our lab) with more consistent superficial-like firing (around the trough) (Fig. 2g ).
Therefore, although our theory is based on the effective Hamiltonian, the predicted jump of the PET is quite likely to be significant and even the sign change of PET, such as Fig. 2 b, d for the HgTe case, might exist in realistic materials.
Here we present two obviously harmonic components (i.e., 6-year and ~8.6-year terms) existing in observed LOD data on the intradecadal scales, where the 8.6-year signal shows an increasing trend in time domain, which is first found to closely associate with geomagnetic jerks.
Although this is an extreme example, our lack of knowledge of extinction risk and phylogenetic relationships across large parts of the tree of life means any estimations of potential biodiversity loss may be significant underestimates.
Miscibility-driven phase transitions in compressed matter are very important for planetary modeling for two reasons: (i) they may be significant enough to define layer boundaries prohibiting full convective mixing within the planet and, thus, strongly influence the mass distribution inside planets 6 and (ii) heavier components created by demixing will liberate gravitational energy by precipitation and, thus, may strongly modify the energy balance of the planets.
