The incongruence test was highly significant for all datasets (p value <0.01, 100 permutations), with the exception of T. cruzi .
Excerpts
Significant differences were indicated at p <0.05, whereas highly significant differences were indicated at p <0.01.
Interestingly, the LPS-group revealed a highly significant mRNA increase in the myenteric plexus of duodenal samples by 17.2±5.2-fold ( Fig 2B , p < 0.01), of ileal Gfap level by 3.5±0.8-fold (p < 0.01, Fig 2C ) and of colonic samples by 15.0±3.1-fold ( Fig 2D , p < 0.01).
When compared with the control group, the increase of P1 larvae after 10 μM U0126 treatment was highly significant (p<0.01; Fig. 3G ).
Mean Gt and radicle growth values of the different eucalyptus concentrations ( Fig 1 ) ranged from 82 to 30% and 90 to 33% of control, respectively, with a highly significant effect of concentration (ANOVA, P ≤ 0.01 for Gt; P ≤ 0.001 for growth).
While species in shallow-water assemblages 1N are moving west-southwest (Figs 3B and 4B ), possibly tracking cooler bottom temperatures in the southwestern Gulf of Maine ( S5 Fig ), overall there is no significant relationship in terms of latitudinal climate velocities in the fall ( Fig 6C ; r 2 = -0.05, p > 0.05), and only a weakly significant relationship in the spring ( Fig 7C ; r 2 = 0.34, p < 0.01).
Statistical analysis identified a positive and highly significant correlation between qPCR and two microarray probes (Spearman’s 0.68≤ rho ≤0.78, p<0.01), thus validating microarray results.
Ext t −1 and Ext t −3 are highly significant predictors of Ext t ; p-value <0.01 for the both predictors.
Although this difference was apparent at almost all time-points tested, it reached statistical significance at week 8 post-infection (P<0.01).
Immunoblotting showed a highly significant two-fold decrease in E-cadherin protein (n = 3, p<0.01) ( Fig. 6B ).
In all cases, the differences were considered statistically significant at p < 0.05 and highly significant at p < 0.01.
This response was somewhat attenuated at the highest concentration of 50 ng/mL, though still highly significant (P<.01) for the uninfected mucosa.
Onto each white matter ROI, we projected the map, derived from the output of the TBSS analysis described above, of all voxels within the overall white matter skeleton in which there was a highly significant inverse correlation between FA and response latency (p<0.01 after family-wise error correction).
The ’Significance’ column provides an immediate visual assessment of the strength of this evidence, following standard statistical conventions: three asterisks ‘***’ denote a p -value < 0.001, indicating a highly significant difference; two asterisks ‘**’ denote p < 0.01, indicating a very significant difference; and a single asterisk ‘ ’ denotes p < 0.05, indicating a significant difference.
This result is robust to an alternative specification using the number of restricted activities as the determinant; an additional home restriction is associated with a highly significant ( p < 0.01) 5.0 percentage point increase in likelihood of reporting period teasing ( Table 4 , Column 2).
In contrast, for comb size, the multiple comparisons test showed that the mean difference between mated and unmated males was highly significant (Fisher’s LSD: mean difference = 9.64, P <0.01).
This comparison for CD3+IT-CD8 was borderline significant ( P = 0.01) ( Fig 2F ).
Five SNPs, 4 from TEP1 gene and 1 from PINX1 gene, were found to be highly significant (P<0.01).
In Experiment 2, the variety, growth stage, and the interactions of these factors had highly significant (p<0.01) effects on all starch pasting parameters ( Table 6 ).
For nationality diversity (Column 3), the interaction Bsize×Nationality 2 is highly significant (β = 0.022, p < 0.01), supporting H4.
Last, we selected highly significant genes (p-value < 0.01).
This represents a highly significant increase of 74.5% (p<0.01, Fig. 5 ).
The combined analysis of variance revealed highly significant effects ( P ≤ 0.01) of environments (E), genotype (G), and GEI on a phenotypic variation of traits evaluated, including grain yield.
Nominally significant differences ( P <0.01) were observed between the quiescent and FAP groups in several genera in both the pouch ( Bacteroides and Blautia ) and the afferent limb ( Blautia , Bacteroides , and Incertae Sedis Erysipelotrichaceae ) in both the dichotomized and frequency analyses ( Figure S8 ).
There was a highly significant positive correlation between the vFWT and NS profiles #2 and #4 (Rho s = 0.64, and 0.63, respectively; P = 0.01, and 0.02, respectively), but not between PVF or MA intensity and any of the profile responses (all P >0.10).
