In addition, there was a significant Group × SOA interaction at SOA 130 and a marginally significant Group × SOA interaction at SOA 390.
Excerpts
These patterns are consistent with our prediction that reef protection, and the subsequent increases in predator biomass [ 36 ], would lead to smaller territories even though we only show a marginally significant increase in predator biomass between protected and unprotected areas.
Thus, highly significant prediction result in the right FFA cannot be explained solely by large number of ROIs.
Cox Proportional Hazards Models When the imaging biomarkers were analyzed independently in separate univariate models for overall survival ( Table 2 ) in Cohort 1, we noted statistically significant associations with tumor volume (HR = 2.59; 95% CI 1.06–6.29) and convexity (HR = 0.34; 95% CI 0.14–0.82), and a borderline significant association with entropy ratio (HR = 2.19; 95% CI 0.94–5.08).
Discussion In one of the first investigations of this hypothesis using a GWAS approach, we identified a borderline significant association for rs100009124 and number of children when corrected for multiple comparisons in our analysis.
Both vitamin D and folate levels showed only nominally significant effects.
Particularly, males showed a trend of improvement of their local clustering whereas females exhibited a significant decrease of local clustering, which was further validated in the FA-based structural network ( S1 and S2 Tables).
Among the top overrepresented terms, based on highly significant FDRs and number of differentially transcribed genes (i.e. > 30 microarray features) associated with each term, were those associated with muscle cell growth and development (e.g. sarcomere, myofibril) and cardiac muscle/heart development.
3A ): (1) The amount of Gammaproteobacteria in controls maintained the same predominance for 9 days before NEC onset, yet it is significantly higher in controls than in NEC samples at 7–9 and 4–6 days prior to NEC onset (p = 0.01 and 0.008, respectively), and not significantly different just before disease onset as a result of Gammaproteobacteria from NEC cases showing an increasing trend while approaching disease.
We found an increasing trend in the weighted and unadjusted prevalence of metabolic syndrome and high-risk FRS in males and females according to deciles of albuminuria ( Fig. 3 ).
Although the OLS regression was highly significant, we believe that model quality can be further improved, at least for δ 18 O and δ 2 H.
Contrary to expectations, we did not find either δ 18 O or δ 2 H correlated with altitude, probably because we considered a wide area characterised by fairly significant climatic variability which may have masked the altitude effect.
Our analysis further pointed out changes in aldosterone signaling, which are likely to be significant in the biliary tract because bile production depends on osmotic effects triggered by secretion of both bile acid and sodium [ 47 ].
The error rate in the standard trials was larger in the fatigue state with an increasing trend, but without significant difference.
Our previous results using a standard QTL method based on linkage mapping provided us with numerous QTL; however, the GWAS detected a lower number of markers with a highly significant association.
Interestingly, although the retention ratio exhibited a decreasing trend with time, there was no significant difference among the different injection time points ( Fig. 6B ).
multilocularis in definitive hosts [ 13 ], and our data suggest that such a dilution effect ( sensu [ 13 ]) may be significant in summer but absent in winter, when only competent intermediate host species are consumed ( Fig. 2B ).
a weak trendgold
This last hypothesis is consistent with our fecundity model selection results, which showed a weak trend for average fecundity to decline during winters with thin snowpack (high PDO values) while breeding effort did not.
This was done by profiling the expression of the selected 11 genes that showed a trend toward significant transcriptional differences before the correction for multiple testing.
The Fst values between the Brazil and Belize populations were greater than 0.20 and were highly significant for all comparisons ( Table 4 ), indicating particularly high differentiation between these stocks.
In the present study, muscle PUFA levels showed an increasing trend with increasing dietary PA levels.
P values less than 0.05 were considered significant, less than 0.01 highly significant and less than 0.001 extremely significant.
A P value less than 0.05 was considered as statistically significant, and a P value less than 0.1 was regarded as borderline significant.
[ 53 ] a decreasing trend is predicted for the years after 2010, resembling an inverted U-shape curve.
Since the number of authors has an increasing trend over the examined period, to assess the productivity of the researchers more accurately the average number of articles per author was examined.
