These differences in the proportion of observed gene conversion events in K a and in K s between the RP and MP groups are highly significant ( P < 10 −10 and P < 0.002, respectively; Fisher’s exact test).
Excerpts
To further explore this relationship, we preformed a linear regression for Tup1 binding by the number of recruiter proteins bound and discovered a highly significant regression of R 2 = 0.500 (P<1×10 −10 ) ( Figure 2D ) .
This is striking because our statistical analyses show that overlap between groups is highly significant ( P value ≤10 −10 ) ( Fig. 5 ), so the probability of identifying 24 genes by random chance is very low.
We detected highly significant broad-sense heritability for sensitivity ( H 2 sens = 0.37, 0.14, and 0.21 for cisplatin, EMS, and HU, P < 10 −10 in all cases).
First, we found that the relationship between mean gene expression and CAI was highly significant and positive, as expected (adjusted R 2 = 0.27 , P < 10 − 10 , fig. 5 A and B ).
Emmetropization There was strong evidence of emmetropization (Figures 4(a) and 4(b) ) in RAR and ROP Sprague-Dawley rats ( dashed light blue and light red lines ) as well as ROP Long-Evans rats ( dark red lines ) resulting in a highly significant effect of age ( F (age) = 32.6, df = 2,78, P < 10 −10 ).
This revealed four regions with highly significant differentiation ( P < 10 −10 after Bonferroni correction, per SNP χ 2 test (d.f. = 1); Supplementary Fig. 1 ).
did not reach statistical significancep < 10 −10
Both fast and slow timescales of cross-correlations increased with the RF-center distance in both monkeys, but the increase in the fast timescale did not reach statistical significance in monkey N ( τ 2 : p < 10 −10 , τ 1 : p G < 10 −10 , p N = 0.36, two-sided Wilcoxon rank-sum test), possibly due to narrower range of RF-center distances in monkey N compared to monkey G (median d RF,N = 0.77, d RF,G = 2.08 dva).
5 , 6 , p < 0.05, false discovery rate (FDR) corrected], and in nine such comparisons, results were highly significant (Figs. 5 , 6 , p < 10 −10 , FDR corrected); see Supplementary Data 5 for AUC histogram bin data (bootstrapped resamples).
This revealed a moderate, but highly significant, correlation between responses to the two interventions in RCC4 cells (Pearson’s r = 0.33, P < 1 × 10 −10 , Fig. 3d left panel).
This advantage of the simple model was highly significant across vertices ( t (23,807) = 34.54, p < 10 −10 ).
We found 1060 upregulated genes in Wit49 and 396 in 17.94, with a highly significant overlap of 212 genes between the two cell-lines ( p < 10 −10 ) ( Figure 3 A).
We found that observation interval was a highly significant factor ( p < 10 −10 ), whereas the effect of the ensemble size was near significance ( p = 0.0758) because of the difference in RMSD error area between k = 5 ensemble member trials and other ensemble sizes.
Both correlations were extremely significant (p<10 −10 ).
Among these, we identified 339 genes, the expression levels for which showed highly significant (Moran’s I Bonferroni-corrected P < 1e-10) spatial heterogeneity across cells ( Dataset S11 ).
5C ), and this difference was highly significant within an animal across within-sequence repetitions (Fig. 5D , p < 10 −10 , Wilcoxon Rank Sum test, n 1 = 162, n 2 = 1428) and across animals (Fig. 5E , p = 0.0079, Wilcoxon Rank Sum test, n = 5), as well as in single cells recorded in the ORR in 2p in the same animals (Fig. 5F , p < 10 −100 , Wilcoxon Rank Sum test, n = 765).
These associations were highly significant ( p < 1 × 10 −10 , q < 1 × 10 −10 ).
Average Movement Duration, Velocity and Distance The average duration of movement events is the most distinctive feature of thrips behavior between these two genotypes with highly significant scores of P = 10 −10 in the best experiment 3 with 39 samples ( Tables 1 , 2 ).
Matrix‐like voxels continued to show higher movement‐related activation than striosome‐like voxels across all body parts (left foot, left hand, right foot, right hand, tongue), with highly significant differences in every condition (all p < 10 −10 ).
A category of Molecular Function (Chlorophyll binding; GO:0016168), three categories of Cellular Component (Chloroplast thylakoid membrane; GO:0009535, Photosys-tem II; GO:0009523, and Photosystem I; GO:0009522), and two categories of Biological Process (Protein chromophore linkage; GO:0018298, and Photosynthesis, light harvesting; GO:0009765) had a highly significant association (−log10 ( p -value) ≥ 10) in the down-regulated DEGs ( Fig. 3B ).
Of the 4694 SNPs, 389 MTAs were significant at P < 10 −8 , including 88 highly significant MTAs at P < 0.0000000001 (10 −10 ) ( Supplementary Data Table S3 ).
This was largely due to a few eeQTLs with relatively highly significant effects ( p < 1e-10) on the expression levels of the 2nd exon in the milk cells and a similar but less significant effect ( p < 1e-4) on the 2nd exon expression in white blood cells (Additional file 2 : Figure S7).
As most tested associations were highly significant ( p < 10 − 10 ), precise p-values are reported only for those with p > 10 − 10 .
There was a highly significant agreement (Pearson's R = 0.41, P < 10 −10 ) between the model prediction and the measured changes in protein levels, with the model also quantitatively matching the proportional relationship (gradient of slope = 0.75) (Fig 6 F).
Still, these correlation values were highly significant, also driven however by the large number of observations (p < 10 -10 ).
