This was confirmed via a 2-way permutational multivariate analysis of variance (PERMANOVA) analysis which identified a highly significant effect on diversity between adult, tadpole and water samples (F = 10.71; df = 2; p = 0.0001), a significant effect due to the housing conditions (F = 2.84; df = 1; p = 0.0056), but also a significant interaction effect due to the fact that diversity in tadpoles differs significantly between clean and standard conditions whilst it remains consistent in adults (F = 2.69; df = 2; p = 0.0011).
Under semi-field experimental conditions, differences between wall type and percent mortality from time of initial application to end of observation was highly significant ( p < 0.0001), while no differences were seen in final mortality between the two doses ( p = 0.148).
In the conventional group, postoperative corneal endothelial cell loss was highly significant with p < 0.0001, after 4 and 12 weeks.
An additional indication that the cluster analysis was rather successful is that, despite the high (.49-.68) pairwise correlations of the three EMP data set variables, except for the first two clusters (CLE1 and CLE2) the Bartlett test of overall independence was not significant or just marginally significant, whereas in the total sample the test was highly significant ( p < .0001).
Relationship between the OD 490 values of anti-PvMSP9 antibodies A pairwise comparison of the OD 490 values for total IgG antibodies to antigens TMS102 and CT1186 displayed a highly significant correlation among sera from 246 patients (Spearman’s r = 0.825, p < 0.0001).

On the contrary, highly significant decline in the fold change of TNF-α gene expression was displayed by the standard drug piroxicam (10 mg/kg) and prazosin (20 mg/kg) ( p < 0.0001) when compared with animals in the disease control group.
