Fate of floret primordia The details of the developmental dynamics of particular floret primordia that produced the responses to N shown in the number of living (and, at the end, fertile) florets, evidenced that in experiment 1 increased N availability resulted in a slight trend towards an increased rate of floret development in almost all spikelets and florets ( Fig. 5a ).
However, it is apparent that there was a slight trend in the data for both models, where the residuals were slightly more on the negative side, i.e., slightly more points below the x-axis, at low MW (<250 g∙mol −1 ), and more on the positive side at medium MW (250 to 400 g∙mol −1 ), then they become more negative again at high MW (>400 g∙mol −1 ).
In addition, although Fig 3 demonstrates a slight trend in the β-alanine group to improve total time and the Δ% improved ~3% for time variables in the β-alanine group, whereas in the placebo group the improvement was only ~0.5% ( Table 1 ), these differences (between-subject factor and within-subject factor) were very small and widely dispersed, making them non-significant.
5 , 6 Regardless of weight and BMI prior to the procedure, contrary to what was believed, the improved mobility obtained with arthroplasties did not lead to a reduction in the anthropometric measurements in patients with BMI between 20 and 30 kg/m 2 ; however, in patients who were obese prior to surgery, there was a slight trend toward a reduction in BMI.

Comparing the different 3D structural parameters, we observed a slight trend towards larger median equivalent diameter and median volume for both Bowman's capsule and glomerulus in the 5-day trauma group (Figures 6(a) and 6(c) ), whereas the sphericity of the Bowman's capsule and the glomerulus was the largest in the 24 h trauma group compared to the other groups ( Figure 6(b) ).
