From 2004 to 2021, the PD mortality and standardized mortality rates in both urban and rural areas showed an increasing trend (urban: AAPC = 5.13%, AAPC ASMR =1.76%, P < 0.001; rural: AAPC = 8.40%, AAPC ASMR =4.29%, P < 0.001).

We observed a significant difference in ANC utilization, with most women not receiving ANC, showing an increasing trend overtime (χ 2 = 13.65, df = 2, p = 0.0011).
