In contrast, S-AL, S-BAX, and S-Lip contents exhibited an increasing trend in both the rhizosphere and bulk soils over time. 3.2 Microbial diversity and community composition Grapevine cultivation did not significantly increase bacterial richness in the bulk soil but significantly enhanced the richness of the rhizosphere soil ( Figure 3B ), and it increased fungal richness in both soils ( Figure 3D ).
On the other hand, an increasing trend in the DALYs was noted for all age groups in the 14 member countries: Azerbaijan and Georgia in Central Asia; Cambodia and Indonesia in Southeast Asia; Afghanistan, Egypt, and Lebanon in North Africa and Middle East; Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Serbia in Central Europe; Estonia, Republic of Moldova, Russian Federation, and Ukraine in Eastern Europe (all P < 0.01).
Results Geochemical Characterization of Sediments The vertical methane concentration profile in the inside microbial mat sediments showed a maximum (6.5 mM) at 3 cm below the seafloor (bsf) and a decreasing trend down to 13 cmbsf ( Figure 1 A), while the stable carbon isotopic composition (δ 13 C value) of methane showed an increasing trend around this interval ( Figure S3A ).
RVI showed an increasing trend with an increase in oat density, with the ID5 treatment being significantly higher than ID1 over the two years, with an increase ranging from 6.08% to 7.45%. 3.4 Competition indices under the oat-common vetch intercropping systems In the two-year study, aggressivity of oats is consistently positive (0.29–0.41), while common vetch exhibits negative aggressivity values (-0.29–0.41), indicating that oats are the dominant crop in the intercropping system ( Figure 3 ).
The statistical approach is as follows: 4 S = ∑ i = 1 n - 1 ∑ j = i + 1 n s g n ( x j - x i ) where, where, x j and x i are the values of sequence j, i; n is the length of the time series and S g n ( x j - x i ) = + 1 i f ( x j - x i ) > 0 0 i f ( x j - x i ) > 0 - 1 i f ( x j - x i ) > 0 If S > 0, then it indicates an increasing trend and if S < 0, then it indicates a decreasing trend.
