Since none of the individual studies showed any effect of metformin on mortality, the pooled effect estimate was barely significant and there was very low heterogeneity in the analysis (I 2 = 0%) an analysis of the influence of cause and timeframe was not deemed feasible.

Relationship between Rd, Ψ pd and Non-Structural Carbohydrates In WS vines, a relationship between R d at midday and Ψ pd (R 2 = 0.30, p < 0.001) was evidenced by a linear regression ( Figure 6 A) and, though barely significant, the linear regression was reported also with data recorded at 4:00 a.m.
Both Moriano, Gorgievski, Laguna, Stephan, and Zarafshani [ 14 ] and Lortie and Castogiovanni [ 10 ] have claimed as much, pointing to studies that show a direct relationship between SN and EI [ 32 ], other studies that do not find such a relationship or find it to be barely significant [ 13 ], and a third group that shows that SN has an indirect impact on EI through PA and PBC [ 15 , 23 ].
Given that microbial community composition was available for only 12 out of the 27 the species for which leaf surface texture complexity was analyzed, these barely significant relationships between leaf surface texture complexity and leaf microbe community ( Figs 2 , Table 1 ) are remarkable and require further attention in future studies.
8,300 71,200 (-+2,600) (-+1,800) (1,500) (-+900) (000) (3,400) (1,200) (4,700) See legend to Table II. (11), this correlation suggests that the same Ir gene controls both immune responses. It should be noted that PETLES from B10.D2 mice failed to respond to (H,G)- A--L, while BALB/c PETLES showed a barely significant response (Table IV).
17 The results of this study showed that the statistical power of QRS is barely significant with a hazard ratio of 1.004 (95% CI, 1.000–1.008) and lower than that of phase SD with a hazard ratio of 1.039 (95% CI, 1.0024–1.051).
It is likely to have evaded description because the similarity of individual exon sequences to dystrophin is barely significant and it is poorly represented in EST databases.
Meanwhile, the effect of age was mixed and significant only at the change between 25–34 years and 18–24 years (0.144), and it was barely significant at the 5% level for the change between being aged ≥45 years and 25–34 years (−0.125).
This helps to explain why the statistical analysis in these RCTs revealed a barely significant impact on recruitment [ 33 , 34 ], in contrast to researchers’ personal accounts which often describe dramatic improvements [ 35 ].

Pharmacological manipulation of actin yielded weaker effects that were barely significant—if at all there was a tendency for induction in V. rupestris by latrunculin B, a drug that very efficiently eliminates actin filaments.
Furthermore, the DNA λ 260/280 ratio was barely significant on SFF, thus suggesting that differences between CFF and SFF are unrelated to DNA purity.
ATC estimates also yielded similarly insignificant/barely significant patterns ( Figure 3 ).
