We found that advancing age (per 10 years increase) was significantly associated with 2.09% increase in LAA -856 (95% CI − 0.06 to 4.29, P = 0.057 with borderline significance), 0.02 Ka/L/s decrease in X5 (95% CI − 0.04 to − 0.01, P = 0.002), 0.30 Ka/L decrease in AX (95% CI 0.13 to 0.47, P < 0.001), 1.75 Hz increase in Fres (95% CI 0.85 to 2.66, P < 0.001), 3.95% decrease in MMEF %predicted (95% CI − 6.19 to − 1.71, P = 0.001), and 5.42% decrease in FEF50%predicted (95% CI − 7.88 to − 2.95, P < 0.001) in SAD subjects assessed by CT (Table 4 ).

The percentage of mice achieving a favorable functional outcome at 48 hours, defined as a score of <20 in the De Simoni composite neuroscore, was higher in the RIC+ group (49%) compared with the RIC− group (28%), but this difference reached a borderline significance level in the unadjusted analysis (absolute difference, 21%; odds ratio, 2.5 [95% CI, 0.97–6.1]; P =0.058) or when stratified by sex ( P =0.052).

Meta‐regression Upon conducting multivariate meta‐regression with the subgroups defined above, we found patients in lower‐income countries to have significantly higher odds of worsening anxiety (aOR 8.94, 95% CI 1.62–49.28, p = 0.012) and reduced sleep (aOR 5.16, 95% CI 1.15–23.17, p = 0.032), as well as deterioration in PD symptoms with borderline significance (aOR 3.57, 95% CI 0.96–13.34, p = 0.058).
