Furthermore, high expression of ITGB1 was correlated with late clinical stages in both cohorts ( P = 0.019, P = 0.016, respectively) and with lymph node metastasis but with borderline significance ( P = 0.057, P = 0.062, respectively).
We found a borderline significance at the latest time points (T3, p = 0.057; T4, p = 0.095), suggesting that patients keeping high levels of plasmatic cfDNA while receiving systemic therapy might have a worse outcome (Fig. 4 ).
hsCRP was only correlated with %CD4 + RTE (r = − 0.326; p = 0.049) and with %CD4 + HLA-DR + with borderline significance (r = 0.316; p = 0.057) (Additional file 2 : Figure S1).
The AC genotype was also associated with an increased risk of MPN, but the P value for Chinese was at borderline significance, likely due to relatively few patients (AC vs AA: OR = 2.02; 95 % CI: 1.00–4.08, P = 0.057, for Chinese, and OR = 1.89; 95 % CI: 1.05–3.41, P = 0.034, for Swedish).
On multivariate analysis (MVA), the association remained statistically significant for lines of chemotherapy (HR, 2.58; 95% CI, 1.42-4.66; P = .002) and lesion size (HR, 1.94; 95% CI, 1.04-3.60; P = .037), whereas borderline significance was observed for BED10 (HR, 1.83; 95% CI, 0.98-3.42; P = .057; Table 2 ).
Of all these variants, only the ATM mutation c.8560C>T was found significantly increased in our PrCa patients comparing with our healthy controls ( P = 0.024; S3 Table ), with the CHEK2 mutation c.349A>G reaching borderline significance ( P = 0.057).
There were no significant between-group differences in postoperative GCS or mRS, but the mRS score in the MIN group (mean, 3.5 ± 1.34) was lower than that in the craniotomy group (mean, 4.1 ± 1.36), with borderline significance ( p = 0.057).
For the transition from T2DM to multimorbidity, no associations were observed during 0-<1 or 1-<3 years, with borderline significance at 3–<5 years (HR, 1.12; 95% CI, 1.00-1.25; P = 0.057) and significant elevation thereafter (≥5 years: HR, 1.14; 95% CI, 1.05-1.25; P = 0.003).
Interestingly, the SOD2 mRNA expression level was increased in soleus of THP-treated as compared to CTL rats, reaching borderline significance (Figure 6A ; p = 0.057).
The difference had only borderline significance in the infective flies (U = 0.00, d.f. = 33, p = 0.057), as there was only one infective S . yahense with 17 L3s, despite the large difference between this and the mean in S . sanctipauli of 2.12 ± 0.56 L3/infective fly.
