Three studies showed a significant positive association, 11 , 17 , 20 while one study showed only a weak correlation 8 and one study showed a borderline significant association. 23 In El-Sakka and Tayeb, 11 there was a higher likelihood of 12.2 times of patients with poor glycaemic control to suffer ED as compared with their counterparts with good glycaemic control.
Patients with a history of surgery for endometriosis ( n = 94 cases + 94 controls) showed particularly strong associations for adenomyosis (aOR 14.4, 95%CI 3.2–65.3) and fibroids (aOR 6.6, 95%CI 1.7–25.2), while the association with polyps was borderline significant (aOR 3.1, 95%CI 1.0–9.8).
Compared to the control group, the workshop students performed significantly better (all P values are reported after FDR correction for multiple comparisons) on Question 1 (lower-level: Pearson χ 2 = 3.739, borderline significant at P (1) < 0.05), Question 2 (higher-level: Pearson χ 2 = 7.464, P (1) < 0.05), and Question 7 (lower-level: Pearson χ 2 = 12.158, P (1) < 0.01) of the life cycle question series on the final exam.
Intention to treat analyses comparing changes in the three groups showed a significant reduction in body fat percent (−1.31% (−2.40; −0.23)) and a borderline significant reduction in total plasma cholesterol (−0.25 mmol/L (−0.51; 0.01) and plasma renin (−0.19 pmol/L (−0.39; 0.00) in group A compared to the control group.
The following treatment-related factors that remained independent predictors for OS in multivariate analysis were as follows: AZA first-line treatment, hematologic improvement, and further deepening of response after first response; best marrow response ( p = 0.642) did not meet the 0.05 significance level for inclusion in the multivariate analysis; azacitidine pause due to adverse events was associated with longer OS in multivariate analysis; dose reduction due to adverse events ( p = 0.051) and fatigue limiting self-care ( p = 0.053) were borderline significant in multivariate analysis (Figs. 2 and 3 , and Supplemental Table 5 ).
