Presence of ≥1 ACPA reactivity, ultrasound-detected tenosynovitis, IL-6 levels and IL-15Rα levels were identified as significant independent predictors for arthritis progression ( Figs 3–4 ) and after utilizing Bonferroni adjustment, these predictors remained significant with the exception of IL-15Rα, which was borderline significant.
Children of ‘un-involved families’ tended to have less anxiety symptoms compared to children of other families (borderline significant effect), however significant interaction effects between this family type and post-assessment, follow-up 1, and follow-up 2 (and a borderline significant effect for follow-up 3) were also found, indicating that anxiety symptoms of children in ‘un-involved families’ decreased less over time compared to children in other families.
In accordance, systematic reviews and meta-analyses on these birth cohort studies reproduced inconclusive evidence, revealing no association with asthma or wheezing ( 66 ), a U -shaped association with a lower risk of childhood asthma at maternal 25(OH)D levels of 30 ng/ml (70 nmol/l) ( 67 ) and a borderline significant inverse relationship ( 68 ).
Cox Proportional Hazards Models When the imaging biomarkers were analyzed independently in separate univariate models for overall survival ( Table 2 ) in Cohort 1, we noted statistically significant associations with tumor volume (HR = 2.59; 95% CI 1.06–6.29) and convexity (HR = 0.34; 95% CI 0.14–0.82), and a borderline significant association with entropy ratio (HR = 2.19; 95% CI 0.94–5.08).
Set against these findings, a case–control study of early childhood (ages 0–5) tumours nested within the California cancer registry, and using, like the present study, AVGLO ground-based assessments of UVR exposure, suggested a borderline significant increase in intracranial/intraspinal embryonal tumours among those with the highest level (among four quartiles) of UVR exposure [ 12 ] (birth-year-adjusted OR for 4th quartile = 1.26, 95%CI 1.00–1.61; birth-year-, maternal age-, race- and child’s birth-year-adjusted OR for 4th quartile = 1.29, 95%CI = 1.01–1.65).
