This compares well with the finding of Bala et al ., in which seroprevalence of syphilis was reported to be 1.2%[ 11 ] while the overall seroprevalence of syphilis in a study from Maharashtra was found to be 0.7% (90/13,008).[ 12 ] In our study, we found that seroprevalence of syphilis by VDRL test among male patients was 5.02 (365/7278) while that in females was 0.74 (368/50,030), and the difference between the two was highly significant.( P < 0.0001) It is comparable to the report by Geusau et al .[ 13 ] Moreover, in a study conducted by Tankhiwale and Naikwade, the seroprevalence of syphilis in males and females was 1.73% (44 of 2537) and 0.4% (46 of 10414), respectively.[ 12 ] The higher seroprevalence of syphilis in males could be because of the fact that only the suspected patients or high-risk patients or patients attending STI clinic are usually tested for syphilis serology.

The interactions of Wolbachia and elevated CO 2 concentration on total protein, amino acid content, peroxidase activity, and amylase activity were highly significant (two‐way ANOVA, F = 43.979, p < 0.0001; F = 34.696, p < 0.0001; F = 22.865, p < 0.0001; and F = 22.873, p < 0.0001), resulting in increased nutrient content and enzyme activity, which may be beneficial for H. graminicola in future. 4 DISCUSSION Wolbachia , an endosymbiotic bacterium, widespread in insects and Arachnida, have important effects on growth, development, and reproduction.

Two-way ANOVA revealed a highly significant effect of the genotype and the distance from the soma on the number of intersections ( p < 0.0001, F (1,4023) = 37.46 and p < 0.0001, F (26,4023) = 163.7, respectively), as well as a highly significant interaction between those two factors ( p < 0.0001, F (26,4023) = 2.488).

The correlations between AS3-team members were in all cases highly significant ( P < 0.0001; even higher than those of the AS2-team, Table 4 ), suggesting that all assessors produced on average criterion scores resulting in roughly the same rank order of species (range of correlations 0.361–0.939, N = 90) and criteria (range of correlations 0.419–0.971, N = 24).
