When the two year period of susceptibility for series A children was split into 'pre-natal' and 'post-natal' years highly significant ex- cesses of space-time interaction links were evident for each. Those occurring post-natally were slightly more marked. The analyses for younger series A cases (II - IV) show excess space-time linkages which are marginally significant Table II Analysis I.
.5) an = Number of animals at termination of study, bND = normal-Diet, percentage of total energy: 45%, 35%, 25%, 'mean (standard deviation), dp = 0.01, significant difference between the tumour volumes of all high caloric groups versus the respective low caloric groups, cp = 0.04, fP = 0.06, marginally significant difference between the tumour numbers of all high caloric groups versus the respective low caloric groups, gtime of dietary change, hweeks after dietary change, 'termination of experiment.
Although both Gad structural genes map to Chr 2 (16), they are positioned proximal to I11 in areas in which all markers typed to date havebeen NOD derived. Thus, NOD and NOR mice must be presumed to share the same Gad genes. Other PotentialRegions ConferringWeak Resistancein NOR. Presence of a weaker (and recessive or poorly penetrant) resistance gene on the more distal segment of Chr 4 was suggested by a marginally significant segregation distortion associated with the D4MitI1 and the naturiuretic peptide precursor A (Nppa, formerlyPnd) markers.
We did not find evidence to suggest differences in pregnancy history or labor and delivery characteristics between cases and the sub-cohort with the exception of a marginally significant decreased risk for AML associated with less than adequate prenatal care (HR = 0.57, 95% CI 0.33–1.0) and an increased AML risk associated with maternal gestational weight gain of 30 or more pounds (HR = 2.59, 95% CI 1.27–5.31) based on few cases.
There was no evidence, among parous women, that increasing parity was associ- ated with risk of mucinous tumours. Relative to a first birth before age 25, a first birth at a later age was associated with a significant (60%) reduced risk of serous borderline tumours, and a marginally significant (40%) decreased risk of endometrioid/clear cell tumours; increasing age at first birth was significantly associated with a decreased risk of these tumour types (Table 6).
