“near-significant”

This may explain why, even though there was a near-significant reduction in SBP in HIIT compared to LIT ( p = 0.074), mRNA expression of several RAAS-related of genes ( Ace, Ren, Agtr1b , and Cyp11b2 ) was slightly, but not significantly, increased in HIIT compared to LIT.

The near-significant odds ratio for use of cushioned insoles or orthotics in our study ( p = 0.074) may reflect a reverse causality, in which individuals already experiencing PF symptoms seek orthotic relief.

It shows a near-significant age effect for C2, F (10,4) = 8.5; p = 0.075; a significant age effect for C3, F (10,4) = 27.3; p = 0.00002; for C4, F (10,4) = 15.8; p = 0.003, and for C5, F (10,4) = 23.9; p = 0.00008.

A near-significant positive correlation was observed between irisin and FABP4 levels ( r = 0.155, p = 0.075) (Table 4 ).

We also observed near-significant trends towards increased leucine ( P = 0.076, Fig. 1 ) and decreased serine ( P = 0.059, Fig. 2 ) in obese persons compared with non-obese counterparts.

Similarly, there was a near-significant reduction in EZ/RPE20% ( p = .076) and a significant reduction in EZ/ONL ( p = .013) in fellow eyes of ON patients compared with healthy controls.

After binarizing data (large values = 1, small values = 0), run tests showed near-significant ( Z = 1.772, p = 0.076) deviation from randomness for gene length and haplotype diversity, while nucleotide diversity displayed highly significant deviation ( Z = 2.938, p = 0.003), revealing a near-perfect “small-large-small-large” periodicity.

Paired t -tests (with Bonferroni correction adjusting p to <.0125) confirmed that neural activity in pMTG was higher for high control compared to low control judgements following IFG stimulation (t =3.905, p =.001) with a near-significant effect of control demands in the scan following OP stimulation (t =1.897, p =.077).

Although no group-level differences in overall patterns reached statistical significance, the Antioxidant–Mineral factor showed a near-significant lower score in the ADHD group ( p = 0.077).

Comparing n-3 PUFA intake directly to urinary 8-iso-PGF 2α resulted in only a near-significant trend (p = 0.077; p = 0.0828 after adjusting for sex); a recent publication of findings from the larger LIPGENE cohort reported a similar near-significant trend [35] .

We observed a near-significant ( p = 0.0773) increase in CD4 + T cells in cases with pCR comparing with cases without pCR, while no significant differences ( p = 0.3129) were found in the frequency of CD8 + T cells between groups.

The interaction between MGAT3 and MGAT1 ( Figure 11H ) also showed a near-significant effect ( P = 0.0775, β = 2.767).

Additionally, when an independent t-test was conducted to examine the long-term effects of physical activity and reading on the visual condition, the results revealed a near-significant difference between the two groups ( t (25) = −1.837, p = 0.078; Cohen’s d = − 0.707), with the reading group demonstrating a larger difference in accuracy compared to those who engaged in physical activity.

Similarly, tumor localization demonstrated a near-significant association (HR = 0.83, 95% CI: 0.68–1.02, p = 0.078), while all other clinicopathological variables remained non-significant. 4.

These findings were qualified by a near-significant 2-way interaction, F (1, 54) = 3.22, p = .078, η p 2 = .06.
