In addition, we observed a negative trend for lipid synthesis in the LRFI animals which may have been caused by processes that increased the flow and hepatic uptake of fatty acids and/or altered its metabolism (e.g., synthesis, oxidation or esterification) [ 62 ] ( Figure 5 ).
Except for the comparison between the 133-day and 161-day groups, the difference between the other stages was extremely significant ( Supplementary Table S2 ).
Furthermore, males that attacked their partner were more confrontational aggressive individuals, as revealed by a highly significant correlation between the number of within-pair attacks and male aggression based on PC1 ( Figure 2 ).
Regarding the fermentation products, YCW-15 showed a trend toward higher concentrations of propionate, acetate, lactate, ammonia, isobutyrate, and valerate, while YCW-30 showed a trend ( p < 0.10) toward higher levels of butyrate and pH values.
In the breed AST, a slightly negative trend for rate of inbreeding was observed, but for the breed SBS, a slightly increasing trend was observed, which may lead to a lower-than-expected increase in inbreeding in AST, but a higher-than-expected increase in inbreeding in SBS.
New inbreeding, according to Kalinowski, contributed to 71.8% of individual inbreeding, but ancestral inbreeding coefficients showed an increasing trend in all breeds.
On the contrary, merino breeds had an average N e > 150 and an expected increase in inbreeding <5% within 50 years, but a negative trend for population sizes and number of effective sires.
Furthermore, substitutions with a molecular weight difference ≥|40.00| Da and a hydrophobicity level ≥|1.00| were treated as highly significant [ 27 ].
The gut bacterial communities of the two species of zokors showed highly significant differences in the abundance-based coverage estimators (ACE) index, Shannon index and Fischer phylogenetic diversity index, and the diversity of gut bacteria of M. psilurus was significantly higher than that of M. aspalax ( Figure 3 B–D).
The obtained experimental data are all expressed as a mean ± standard deviation, with p < 0.05 indicating significant differences and 0.05 < p < 0.10 indicating a significant trend of differences. 3.
After February of the following year, snow leopard activity began to show an increasing trend in intensity and reached a sub-peak of activity intensity in May, because snow leopards typically mate from January to March and give birth from April to June [ 42 ].
The abundance of Firmicutes in the control group showed a decreasing trend from the infection period to the recovery period, while the Proteobacteria showed an increasing trend (differences of 8.62 and −4.09, respectively) ( Figure 3 A).
This method estimates the size of between-group differences in standard deviation units, which helps avoid inflating the meaningfulness of highly significant but minimal differences.
