Comparison of means between patients and controls revealed highly significant differences for all OS markers, with an increase in the prooxidant markers GSSG, GSSG/GSH ratio, 8-oxodG and F2-IsoPs, and a decrease in the antioxidant markers CAT and GSH.

This list, evidently, shows the existence of a large number of redundant, or even contradictory actions, but when compared with the chemical-functional groups described in Figure 2 , a clear trend can be established between molecular structures and the general functions of the different androgen classes. 6.

Among eight BTICs and eight TCs of proneural and mesenchymal origin, there were no significant differences between subtype-specific groups, although mesenchymal BTICs and TCs showed a trend towards increased migration as compared to proneural cells ( Supplementary Figure S2 ).

Introduction An increasing trend in the combination of conventional chemotherapeutics with native perennial herb medicine has been reported to show potent phytoconstituents with a wide range of biological activity [ 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 ].

By affecting the level of synthesized proteins within cells, they may be significant in driving the dysregulation that affects endothelial cells, VSMCs and leukocytes, which initiates and augments the growth of an atherosclerotic plaque [ 38 ].
