A highly significant difference (p≤0.0005) in sialoadhesin mRNA levels was seen in AIDS patients (both AIDS-KS and non-AIDS-KS, median copy numbers per group ranged from 4.83×10 3 –2.35×10 4 /10 4 PBMC), and in HIV-1 infected a-symptomatic patients (median = 2.49×10 3 copies/10 4 PBMC) when compared with non-infected risk-group patients (median = 2.69×10 2 copies/10 4 PBMC) or with patients with exclusively an HHV-8 infection (median = 4.28×10 2 copies/10 4 PBMC).
Statistically significant difference was as follows: **** highly significant (p<0.00005), *** moderately significant (p<0.0005), ** significant (p<0.005), * less significant (p<0.05).
For hsa-mir-21, the DKD group showed a fold change of 0.668 ± 0.25 (SE) with a highly significant p-value (p < 0.0005), and the FSGS group showed a fold change of 2.267 ± 1.138 (SE) with statistical significance (p < 0.0077). hsa-mir-30a was downregulated in the DKD group with a fold change of 0.874 ± 0.254 (SE), not reaching statistical significance (p = 0.079), while the FSGS group showed a significant upregulation with a fold change of 1.378 ± 0.312 (SE) (p < 0.0006).
Observable differences are highly significant; performing one-sided Mann-Whitney U tests (with the alternative hypothesis c treated > c untreated ) leads to the rejection of the null-hypothesis (p < 5 x 10 −4 ) for all metabolites.
To test a critical assumption of the model—redundancy is greatest for languages with few L2 learners—we compared a translation of a document into 103 languages and observed a highly significant correlation ( r = −.56, P <.0005) between population and redundancy (see Text S11 ).
The differences between the L p values at 0°C and those at 10°C were highly significant (p<0.0005).
These differences were highly significant (p<0.0005) ( Figure 2a ).
The distribution of the prevalence of these strata against age in years is highly significant (χ 2 (20) 106, p<0.0005, Figure 2 ).
GRP78 attracted our attention due to its high protein amount found in sparsely growing cells, and its highly significant difference in the two growth patterns (SW480: 3.3-fold, p = 0.0005, Figure 1B a, b, c ; HCT116: 2-fold, p = 0.0005, Figure 1B d, e, f ; single analyzed 2-DE areas are shown in Figure S1B ).
The dermatitis in the skin of all mutant mice was associated with a highly significant (p < 0.0005) increased expression of Chil3 consistent with type 2 inflammation ( S14 Fig ).
However, there was a highly significant Ear of Delivery×Hemisphere interaction (F (2,16) = 13.03, p<0.0005).
However, the landscape was roughly the same at 1 and 2 km, as shown by the highly significant correlations of the variables at the two scales (all P-values < 0.0005; r = 0.85, 0.88 and 0.71, for percentage of natural habitats, crops and landscape heterogeneity respectively).
While for CD4+ cells the difference was statistically significant only on day 15 ( P <0.005) and 20 ( P <0.05), the difference was consistently observed for CD5 and CD8 positive cells and was highly significant for CD8 + cells ( P <0.0005).
There was an overall trend towards decreased mortality surge (30%, 15%, 16%, 15%, 9% for S1-S5 respectively, p < .0005) and decreased need for ventilation (27%, 13%, 13%, 14%, 7% for S1-S5 respectively, p < .0005) as the pandemic progressed ( Table 1 ).
The difference in level of relatedness between breeding pairs and random pairs was estimated at 0.07 and was highly significant (10,000 simulations, one-sided p -value = 0.0005).
bacteriovorus (80%) similar to controls (100%), but, contrarily, the 93.5% drop in its relative abundance was highly significant ( P <0.0005) ( Figure 2 ).
Upregulated genes grouped into 75 highly significant categories (selected according to p <0.0005 and at least 10 genes per category, S2 Table ), of which 22 (29%) were involved in the development, growth or death of brain cells, functions of the nervous system (e.g., behavior, cognition, or mood disorders) and/or the amount of neurotransmitters ( Table 1A ).
