We identified some 162 differentially expressed genes that exhibited very highly significant changes in CpG island methylation and for which methylation status correlated inversely with expression.
Excerpts
The biomarkers that reached significance in the SMA group but not the CM group after correction for multiple comparisons (sICAM-1, IP-10, sTREM-1, sFlt-1) were significant or trending towards significance in the CM group before the correction was applied.
Therefore, it may be significant that Tnrc6 is substantially higher in the WKY population at all ages ( Figure 10D ).
Pre-cART CD4 count <50 cells/μl, HIV RNA >5 log 10 copies/ml and BMI <18.5 were independently associated with OI-IRIS, but only the BMI showed a trend for predicting MC-IRIS ( Table 4 ).
P values between 0.02 and 0.001 (significant) are indicated on figures using one asterisk, and P values of 0.001 or less (highly significant) are indicated with two asterisks.
For example, IL4 SNPs, which are highly significant in the Caucasian group such as rs2243282 and rs2243268 didn't reach 5% significance level in African American population.
The differentiation between groups in the division of seven was highly significant and explained 52% of total variance while variance among populations within the groups was only 6% ( Table 2 ).
markedly significantqualified
As shown in Table 1 , mice vaccinated with Mdh showed a markedly significant decrease in bacterial colonization at 14 dpi, providing 2.75 log units of clearance and 2 log units of clearance at 21 days post-infection compared to adjuvant-only treated animals (p<0.001).
Secondly, a highly significant early latency interaction between cueing and anticipated target difficulty was observed, that only trended toward significance in Experiment 1.
Highly significant odds were obtained for each of the categories suggesting strong association of extreme CAG repeat lengths with RSA.
There is no previous data on HIV-1G tropism, thus it was interesting to note that all the five methods showed a trend toward higher usage of CXCR4 in HIV-1G in comparison to CRF02_AG and individually, was found to be statistically significant (p = 0.007, Fisher's exact test) using the combined criterion ( Figure 3b ), which has previously been shown to perform best for the prediction of CRF02_AG coreceptor usage [41] .
In contrast, AMOVA based on nuclear microsatellite loci revealed no overall genetic differentiation between populations in the two Bays ( Table 2 , differentiation by site), although pairwise analysis did indicate marginally significant differentiation between Dokai Bay and one Tokyo Bay site ( Table 3 ).
This made the whole regression model for Larsen scores highly significant, but likely mainly dependent on other contributors than GSTM1 .
a positive trendgold
IgG shows a positive trend in promoting the clearance of larger particles ( Fig. 3A ).
An area covering vast parts of the temporal lobe showed a highly significant correlation to the auditory stimulus repetition frequency, and the most strongly correlated area was located in the auditory core areas (Heschl's gyrus and its surroundings; Fig. 1D , Figs.
These contributions are: configurational entropy of the side chains which might be significant depending on the structure, the dielectric constant, the bond radii and the model chosen for solving the solvation free energy.
The results for men with BMI≥30 remained borderline non-significant (crude HR = 0.80, 95%CI = 0.68–0.95; adjusted HR = 0.84, 95%CI = 0.69–1.03).
extremely significantqualified
Compared with the untreated group, excluding exceptional cases, irradiation and/or filtration resulted in extremely significant difference in all measured factors (pH, 2,3-DPG, free Hb, K + , Na + , MCV, MCH).
An MA-plot showed a trend whereby X-linked genes which were relatively highly expressed in spermatocytes tended to be over-expressed in Dnmt3L heterozygous males (data not shown).
The similarity between this motif and the 3′ end of the canonical CS [CAUAGA] may be significant, despite the ∼2.5 hour delay in peak expression for cluster #1 relative to the late G1-peaking transcripts.
The same highly significant biases persisted even when Ly49E , the only Ly49 to have a dominant TSS in this region, was removed from the analysis, or when start sites were enumerated without any weighting for the number of transcripts at each site.
To identify a suitable outgroup of PBP-related sequences for rooting purpose, we selected more divergent, yet highly significant (E value<10 −6 ), bacterial homolog sequences from a cyanobacterium, a firmicute, a beta and an alpha proteobacterium, none of them sharing the new subfamily signature.
Both effects (i.e., indications of combined axonal and myelin injury) were simultaneously present in women, yielding a highly significant reduction in FA.
highly significant associations of grain yield were observed with 1000-grain weight and tiller number per plant [28] , [29] , the number of filled grains per panicle and harvest index [30] .
Species invading urban habitats were also those showing higher habitat generalism (obtained as the number of the major habitat types recorded in the literature for each species), a relationship that was marginally significant.
