Similar patterns were detected when the sum of fold changes for DEGs was compared, with an evident trend to enhance biosynthetic pathways (Fig. 5 C).

Given that the weights of all three of these abiotic variables, along with two interactions, were all equal to 1, with highly significant P values for the AICc min model, all three abiotic variables appeared to be important drivers of height (Table 1 ).
