The post hoc Tukey’s test shown in Figure 5 provides strong statistical evidence for this cytotoxic effect, particularly at 100 μg/mL, which showed highly significant reductions in cell viability ( p < 0.0001).
The analysis of the median expression of annotated genes located on each chromosome highlighted an extremely significant reduction (Wilcoxon rank-sum P < 0.0001) of X -linked genes expression in the premeiotic population I, showing a median value of 37.0 log2(FPKM), compared to the meiotic population II (8.1 log2(FPKM)) and III (1.5 log2(FPKM)), as well as the postmeiotic population IV (1.9 log2(FPKM)).

Furthermore, the regression models used to compute the correction equations for both sexes were highly significant ( F (1, 188) = 1185.8, P < .0001 and F (1, 108) = 593.0, P < .0001 for females and males, respectively) and the CV for the estimate from either model was less than 7.0, indicating that the level of precision was well within acceptable limits.
Statistical significance of the scavenging and inhibitory activities was assessed using one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) across all concentrations and treatment groups followed by Tukey’s Honest Significant Difference (HSD) post-hoc test for multiple comparisons using GraphPad Prism V.11.0.0.The ANOVA results revealed highly significant differences among all treatment groups ( p < 0.0001), with F-values substantially exceeding the corresponding critical F-value, indicating strong evidence against the null hypothesis Table (S 1,2).
