In contrast, the N400 effect of predictability for the verbal domain in children with DLD did not reach significance in either time-window but was approaching significance (both p s = 0 .053) when not considering corrected alpha levels ( Table 4 and Figure 4 ).

Compared to NF, the only difference approaching significance was for the gene PLG with SD processing.

Solely, the overall cadence (steps/min) was approaching significance with a medium-to-large effect size.

Based on the univariate analysis, factors that had a relation to serum total IgE that was statistically significant or approaching significance were included in the multivariate analysis.

There was a significant improvement for participants in the intervention compared with those in usual care for four of the five factors for physical activity motivation, with the social motivation factor approaching significance (baseline-adjusted mean difference 0.60 [95% CI 0.00, 1.20]) (Table 4 ).

However, it should be noted that at times two and three, behavioral control and social influence were both approaching significance, and the limiting factor was the reduction in power to detect the effect.

Given that the mediation was approaching significance, this may suggest that with age come improvements in working memory capacity, which in turn lead to improvements in rule-based categorization performance.

Linear regressions showed that for SSB consumption, there was a significant association with BMI for the highest consumption category (daily or more 0.19, 95% CI 0.01–0.37), whilst for ASB consumption, there were no significant associations with BMI, although the middle category was approaching significance (1–6 times per week 0.30, 95% CI −0.01–0.61) ( Table S8 ).

On applying logistic regression, p -values approaching significance were only observed in preterm births, and consanguinity remains close to significance.

Since this result was approaching significance, we further tested whether participants showed any inclination to rank Cynghanedd sentences in the top two choices by coding the response as 1 if Cynghanedd sentences were ranked 1st or 2nd, or as 0 if Cynghanedd sentences were ranked 3rd or 4th.
