Welch’s 2-sample t test (2 tailed) was used to identify compounds that differed significantly between CHM and healthy control study groups, with 85 named compounds achieving statistical significance ( P ≤ 0.05) and a further 48 approaching significance (0.05 < P < 0.10).

In the current application, the TDT data were approaching significance for HLA - C1 k and the 2DL2 and 2DS2 genes (p = 0.1114, and p = 0.2026, respectively); however, only 49% of the parents were informative for HLA - C group transmission as much of the data could not be used due to allelic homozygosity.
