In two large prospective cohorts, there was no consistent correlation between the blood group and the risk of CRC but regarding blood group B there was a borderline significant correlation with the overall risk of CRC without a clear explanation of the biological mechanism for the differential association of group B compared with group A antigen with cancer.
Similarly, no significant associations were observed in quintiles of DASH or LLDS with BP or elevated BP at 5 or 10 years of age compared with the reference quintile, indicating the best diet quality, except the 2nd DASH quintile, indicating a relatively poor diet quality, which had a borderline significant association with lower SBP at 10 years of age ( Figure 4 ).
reported a borderline significant effect on HbA1c, but as previously mentioned, no effect on DD. 20 The conflicting findings might be explained by the vulnerability criteria applied in this review including one or more comorbidities 62 and longer duration of diabetes 23 which, pathophysiologically 63 and mentally, might hamper possible effects of interventions on HbA1c despite reduced levels of DD.
In a multivariate model (n=1263) including age, traumatic events, time to care, referral source, treatment location, and time period, variables associated with high baseline severity were: age>15 years, OR = 1.61 (1.23-2.10); greater number of traumatic events, OR = 1.33 (1.22-1.45); shorter time interval between the triggering event and seeking care OR= 0.79 (0.72-0.87); and being referred by a MSF or other health staff, OR= 2.22 (1.69-2.91); having home sessions was borderline significant, OR=1.32 (1.00-1.74); and pre/post OCL period (2007–2008 vs. 2009–2011) were not predictors of high baseline severity, OR =0.83 (0.62-1.12).
The chromosome specific aneuploidy was further analyzed by quantitative FISH ( Figure 3B–E ), which revealed an induction of: 1) trisomy 21 and 12 by OX-LDL and a borderline significant induction of trisomy 21 and 12 by LDL ( Figure 3B and D ), and 2) induction of tetrasomy 21 and 12 by both OX-LDL and/or LDL ( Figure 3C and E ).
compared FLT, FDG and Fmiso PET used before and during RT of NSCLC, and found that at 46 Gy, FLT SUVmax values were significantly lower (p < 0.0006) in both tumors and nodes than baseline, suggesting a fast decrease in the proliferation of both tumors and nodes exists during radiotherapy with differences in metabolism (borderline significant decrease) and hypoxia (stable) 37 .
