no significant association between NAFLD and either CACs > 0 or CACs categories even for crude models, and comparably females (n = 1310) had more significant trends and associations, in which for association of higher CACs > 0 prevalence remained significant till model-3 adjustment (OR:1.568) and borderline significant for model-4, and for CACs categories remained significant even after model-4 adjustment (OR:1.526), moreover, among female subjects postmenopausal (n = 802) vs. premenopausal (n = 508) patients had significantly higher levels of BMI, abdominal circumference, hip circumference, TG, TC and LDL-c, and higher prevalence of DM, HTN, Hyperlipidemia, NAFLD and any CACs > 0.
In our analysis, several other factors besides hypoxemia burden appeared to be associated with poor long-term prognosis, including age, neurological deficit (NIHSS at discharge), stroke etiology subtype (borderline significant), diabetes mellitus, atrial fibrillation, and several laboratory parameters (C-reactive protein, platelet count, and triglyceride level).
Ingestion of 10 g of allulose together with a 75 g OGTT resulted in both a lower plasma glucose iAUC and plasma glucose absolute mean compared with a control of water, while a dose of 5 g of allulose had a borderline significant effect. 40 A systematic review and meta-analysis of acute feeding trials in people with and without diabetes showed that a small dose of allulose (<30 g) reduced the postprandial iAUC glucose response to the oral glucose load by 10%, while there was an indication of a nonsignificant improvement in iAUC insulin. 62 These randomized controlled trials demonstrate that small doses of allulose can lead to modest improvement in the postprandial glycemic response to co-ingested carbohydrate.
