In the literature

We found that pet owners were more likely to be current alcohol users than non-owners, tended to score higher on a standard assessment of harmful or hazardous alcohol use, and this association remained marginally statistically significant when adjusting for the effects of sociodemographic covariates in the model.
Despite clopidogrel’s superior efficacy and favorable safety profile, aspirin remains recommended due to its marginally statistically significant inferiority and cost-effectiveness; approximately 200 patients must use clopidogrel instead of aspirin for 1 year to prevent a single vascular event.
Similarly, few statistically significant differences in diagnostic accuracy were observed between countries when taking Austria as the reference with only Denmark ( p = 0.029) and Italy ( p = 0.024) being marginally statistically significant in some comparisons ( Table S6 ). 4.
In the fully adjusted model (model 4), participants classified as biologically older at baseline, compared to those classified as biologically younger, had a 20.2% increased risk (OR = 1.202, 95% CI: 1.020, 1.417) of developing depression. In the stratification analyses, a marginally statistically significant modification effect for sex was identified in the longitudinal association between baseline biological aging acceleration and later depression.
In sensitivity analysis (see supplementary eTable 4), compared with the main models (lag 0-1), the alternative lags of air pollutants generally yielded slightly smaller but comparable estimates for both PM 2.5 and O 3 , although some marginally statistically significant estimates were observed for O 3 in the 25% lowest fourth of PM 2.5 .
A retrospective case–control study published in December 2022 examined risk factors associated with development of sarcoidosis based on demographics and self-reported cumulative exposures during deployment and found that the highest risk of developing sarcoidosis was in veterans who participated in convoy activities with a marginally statistically significant odds ratio of 1.16 ( 17 ).
Second, there is a marginally statistically significant difference in age between those who agreed (strongly agree/agree) and those who disagreed (strongly disagree/disagree) with the claim “Being able to predict one's risk of severe mental illness later in life would harm those individuals at risk by increasing potential anxiety and diminishing self-esteem.”(Q8) Those who disagreed are older (54.3 ± 13.7 vs 47.4 ± 13.0) The t-test p -value is 0.05.
Caregiver WASH‐related knowledge and practices Caregiver knowledge of WASH and WASH–livestock‐related risks at endline was generally higher in the SELEVER group than in the control group for both mothers and fathers, with the differences across groups found to be marginally statistically significant for overall mother's knowledge and statistically significant for knowledge related to livestock risks (Table 4 , Supporting Information: A2 and A3 ).
9 Another SCCS study identified a marginally statistically significant elevated risk of ischemic stroke among individuals <65 years who received the Pfizer-BioNTech bivalent COVID-19 vaccine and the influenza vaccine on the same day. 10 Overlapping risk periods can also occur when 2 doses of the same vaccine are administered in close succession, such as in the 2-dose primary series of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines (Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine [BNT162b2] and Moderna COVID-19 vaccine [mRNA-1273]).
This finding is consistent with previous research [ 6 ], suggesting that individuals who initially expressed scepticism may later perceive treatment experiences more positively; however, the association was small and only marginally statistically significant, and should therefore be interpreted cautiously.
Column 1 further reports results regarding the association between education and COVID-19 vaccine uptake: Relative to the baseline of women with primary or less than primary education, women with any secondary education were 2.4 pp more likely to be vaccinated; however, the coefficient was only marginally statistically significant.
After further adjusting age, sex, PS score, and clinical stage in the logistic regression model, it can also be found that the association between average vessel length and treatment unresponsiveness (SD + PD) remained marginally statistically significant, suggesting that the enhanced pro‐angiogenic capacity of CD33 + MDSCs may represent a risk factor for treatment unresponsiveness in SCLC (Table 3 ). 3.4.
