Although we observed a slight trend of dose-dependency as the higher population of malignant B cells gave rise to lower BCR IR diversity on day 12, however, the most significant drop in clonal diversity was from zero to 0.001% tumor cells at the same time point.
Such a problem was reflected, for instance, in the possible role of HBV and HPV, in the development of CRC, based on the colorectal tissues: the former had a highly significant association but only one publication supported it, and the latter had an association just above significance, but was substantiated by 11 publications.
The subgroup analysis between the HCC recurrence as per the year of the study’s completion revealed a decreasing trend; however, it was not statistically significant. 3.3.
Although a considerable proportion of HIR patients still received EBRT ± VBT in earlier times, a significant trend of the increasing VBT utilization rate was observed.
From their results, they found that fasting was well-tolerated, improved the patient QoL over the course of the cycles, and even showed a trend in reduced hospitalizations and improved hematological parameters [ 60 ].
In two of the datasets, PALLD expression was significantly greater in WHO CNS grade 1 tumors than in NBT ( Figure 4 G–H); while in the third dataset, PALLD expression presented with an obvious trend ( Supplementary Figure S5 ). 3.9.
GLOBOCAN estimates of the global incidence of pancreatic cancer show an increasing trend, with 495,773 new confirmed cases in 2020 and associated deaths of 466,003 cases [ 3 ].
Moreover, despite the low number of patients, a clear trend in immunological changes could be observed in most patients, which strengthens the hypothesis that treatment-induced immune modulation existed.
On the contrary, in an American HCC cohort ( n = 57) assessed to immunotherapy, sex-specific sarcopenia showed a trend of worse OS (HR: 1.71, 95%) but was not statistically significant ( p = 0.215) [ 64 ].
Yet, when controlling for other influencing variables in the multivariate model, we found a marginally significant negative association with resilience.
After excluding the first year of follow-up, a decreasing trend in SIR with increasing time since first primary CRC was found for all cancers (SIR 1,18; 95% CI 1.07–1.30; SIR 0.88; 95% CI 0.80–0.95; SIR 0.82; 95% CI 0.75–0.89 for 1–4, 5–9 and 10 or more years since first primary, respectively; p -trend < 0.001), A decreasing trend in SIR was also found for lung cancer ( p < 0.001), stomach cancer ( p = 0.001), ovarian cancer ( p = 0.003), CRC ( p = 0.003), liver cancer ( p = 0.004), kidney cancer ( p = 0.01) and bladder cancer ( p = 0.04).
The overall higher SIR was, nevertheless, due to few specific cancer types, including ovary, kidney, endometrial and bladder cancer, and stomach cancer with borderline significant increase.
When looking at Table 4 , however, some exceptions can be noticed: breast and prostate cancer showed no trend, consistent with the fact that they did not turn out to be associated to CRC as FPC; thyroid cancer also lacks a significant trend, likely due to the small number of cases included in the study; endometrial cancer was the only cancer type which showed to be at an increased risk with a constant trend in time.
Results: In 2018, 1340 incident cases of PC in the Veneto population were registered (4.1% of all malignant tumors), with an increasing trend in females and stable incidence in males.
In the multivariate analysis of distant metastasis, we found that metastases were diagnosed significantly less frequently in pT3a carcinomas than in pT3b,c, while they occurred almost significantly more frequently in pT3d carcinomas.
Here, we found no association between pre-diagnostic circulating resistin concentrations and the risk of CRC; however, we observed a marginally significant association among cases (and their matched controls) diagnosed with CRC within the first two years of follow-up, whereas no such association was observed among cases (and their matched controls) diagnosed with CRC after two years of follow-up.
Likewise, even if only showing a strong trend for formal statistical significance, the ECOG-PS 2 patients undergoing IO-based treatments exhibited a poorer survival (12.1 (95% CI, 3.9–20.4) months vs.
