Furthermore, these cells expressed high level of the skin homing receptor CLA and there was a highly significant correlation between the number of these cells in the circulation and the size of the Leishmania -induced lesions in the skin.
Excerpts
There was a highly significant positive correlation between LUs and CD56 dim CD16 + cell prevalence, as expected based on their known cytotoxic phenotype ( Figure 9A ) ( 20 , 44 – 47 ).
a strong trendgold
Induction therapy was similar between the two groups but (in line with what observed in Figure 4 ) there was a strong trend for a higher proportion of patients on ciclosporin in the responder group ( Table 2 ).
We found a higher percentage of H2D b -GP33-41 + CD8 + T cells in NFAT1 KO mice while NFAT1/2 DKO mice showed a trend of reduced frequency and significant decreased total numbers of H2D b -GP33-41 specific CTLs compared to WT controls ( Figures 2A,B , S2B – D ).
Recently, we have seen an increasing trend in the number of positive trials in which XRT is used to treat up to three metastatic sites.
Sex differences in CD4+ cell counts were found to partially mediate sex differences in NK and T cell gene clusters #2, #3, and #4 to a highly significant degree.
The inflammatory response in TCRδ −/− mice showed a trend toward decreased myeloid cells compared littermate controls, though this was not significant ( n = 4/group, P ≥ 0.336, one-way ANOVA; Figure 2E ; Supplemental Figure 3B ).
In that study, dolphins with subclinical CeMV infection had elevated lysozyme concentrations, marginally significant increases in monocytic phagocytosis, reduced mitogen-induced T lymphocyte proliferation responses, and marginally significant CD4+ decreases in PBLs compared to seronegative dolphins ( 11 ).
a slight trendgold
Even though we detected a slight trend among the KD patients with higher frequency of the FCGR2A -131H (rs1801274) risk allele in the current study, this association found previously in GWAS and meta-analysis ( 6 , 7 , 33 ) was not replicated in this dataset of European patients and healthy controls.
activated HUVEC (ns P = 0.09) and RDES (ns P = 0.08) there is a trend toward significance.
When cells from the inguinal LN were isolated at the end of the experiment and inoculated with mBSA for 72 h to induce antigen specific T cell proliferation, re-stimulated cells derived from sCD83 treated mice showed a highly significant reduced proliferation rate upon antigen specific mBSA stimulation in a concentration dependent manner ( Figure 1H ).
Further analysis with either anti-CD20- or anti-HER2-coated beads showed a trend for more rosettes and thus better binding with IgA compared to IgG, but this did not reach statistical significance ( Figures 3F,G ).
While this rescue was found to be significant in young individuals, aged mice only showed a trend toward the reconstitution of a more naïve immune phenotype.
These increases may be significant with regard to the sea urchin response to immune challenge because these two types of phagocytes show the highest expression of the anti-pathogen SpTrf proteins ( 10 , 26 ) that is also consistent with increases in the percentages of SpTrf + small phagocytes in response to immune challenge ( 23 ).
Morbilliviral infections have long been known to result in host immune suppression ( 36 – 38 ), although the most relevant viral effects are a decreased mitogen-induced proliferation and an increase in lysozyme concentration of CD4+ T lymphocytes and a marginally significant increase in monocyte phagocytosis ( 38 ).
Values of p < 0.05 were considered statistically significant and p < 0.01 were considered statistically highly significant.
The statistical difference between Mix-MTV and GL-MTV was borderline significant ( p . 0.06) ( Figures 6A,C ).
Likewise, a decreasing trend in IL-12p40 secretion was observed after KLH and FLH treatment in Dectin-2 KO BMDCs compared with the secretion from WT BMDCs.
Surprisingly, LPS treatment showed a trend toward a decreased proinflammatory cytokine secretion with both inhibitors, with a significant decline in IL-6 levels in cells treated with BAY 61-3606 ( Figure 4D ).
A highly significant correlation between APRIL and IL-10 levels is observed in the synovial fluid of inflammatory arthritis patients ( Figure 8I ), suggesting that APRIL modulates IL-10 production not only in mice but also in humans.
We thus assume that ApoE KO iiself may be significant for cancer cell growth.
As expected from previous studies ( 7 , 11 ), 4 h LPS stimulation upregulated the expression of Il-1 β, Il-6 , and iNos mRNA and iNos protein, whereas Dex treatment during LPS stimulation significantly reduced their expression, and Il-6 protein showed a trend in reduction ( Figures 1A–E ).
Results from this “RENEW” trial ( NCT01721161 ) showed a trend for latency improvement as compared with placebo.
a negative trendgold
Regression analysis confirmed a positive NK longitudinal trend (average β regression coefficient of 43.1 with CV of 103) with respect to T CD3 + cells that showed a negative trend (average T3 β regression coefficient of −194 with CV of 73.2).
a strong trendgold
The growth of H99-α compared to H99 was significantly suppressed at 2 dpi and showed a strong trend for reduced fungal burden at day 1.
