= 0.035) but not BT although his data showed a trend in the same direction.

Interestingly, however, when comparing only the high alpha trials in which the phosphene was seen versus those in which it was not seen, a strong trend in frontal areas is revealed.
Discussion While the ratings of the alternatives showed only marginally significant group differences in favor of the distractor group, the fraction of choices in favor of the best-alternative was highly significant, consistent with the UTT hypothesis (Dijksterhuis, 2004 ; Dijksterhuis et al., 2006 ).
The only other effect of relevance was a marginally significant two-way interaction between 1-back and OSPAN group, showing a more pronounced RT sequential effect for the low OSPAN group (indicated by the difference between the red and purple lines in Figure 1 top for this group), F (1, 50) = 2.88, p < 0.10 (note that this would be significant in a directional test, which would be appropriate here).
In the ROI below the meridian the difference between low-contrast offset and onset is marginally significant (uncorrected, see Table 2 ).
It follows that the framing effect is highly significant in group size 6 for the subset of participants that did not belong to sample S (hereafter sample S C ; p value is 0.000).
Indeed, ANOVA on the second slope measure yielded an only marginally significant interaction between age and congruency; we cannot be sure whether this lack of statistical significance is due to floor effects or to a true absence of interaction.
( 2004 ) and showed highly significant priming effects for derived and pseudo derived words, which, importantly, were statistically indistinguishable from each other as in the original study.
Planned comparisons showed that the switch cost was larger on positive (139 ms) than on neutral trials (104 ms), F (1,43) = 2.85, MSE = 4927, p < 0.10, η p 2 = 0.06, but this difference was only marginally significant.
Yet, it should be noted that respective RT effects were more pronounced for positive than for negative words and that RT differences between negative and neutral Spanish words were only marginally significant in the L2 data.
However, a further contribution on a considerable number of left-handed ( N = 30) and right-handed ( N = 57) Italian participants reports a highly significant correlation between handedness and finger counting direction.
All other hypothesized associations were only marginally significant.
No other effects approached significance.
Frequency The main effect of Frequency (see Table 4 ) was significant across all target fixation time measures (FFD, SFD, GD, TT) and the pre-target T − 1 measure, but only marginally significant (both by participants and items) in the post-target T + 1 measure.
The three main effects of feedback type, condition, and age were highly significant.

However, there was a marginal trend for visibility in Experiment 5a, which could indicate that some participants might have been aware of the facial expressions.
When old faces were seen with studied contexts the asymmetry was greater than when old faces were seen with new contexts, t (48) = −2.24, p = 0.03), but none of the other comparisons approached significance.
While the group observing the real aquarium showed a trend for lower heart rate and muscle tension as well as for an increase in skin temperature, none of the group comparisons reached statistical significance.
While participants responded most rapidly following exposure to neutral cue words and most slowly following negative cue words, no difference in latency approached significance (negative versus neutral cue words: t (19) = 1.36, p corrected = 0.57; negative versus positive cue words: t (19) = 0.60, p corrected = 0.91; positive versus neutral cue words: t (19) = 1.28, p corrected = 0.65).
Culture × scenario interaction effects were significant for anger at oneself, shame, guilt, and sadness, but only marginally significant for anger (Figure 5 B).
150–250 ms epoch There was no effect of language [ F (2,34) < 0.1],and none of the interactions with language approached significance in this epoch.
In particular, the ALSSAQOL “negative emotion” and “spiritually/religiousness” subscales reached the psychometric significance in terms of pre to post treatment improvements, while “interaction” and “physical symptoms” subscales appeared to be marginally significant.
One species (guppy) yielded a marginally significant result, and one species (zebrafish) was not significant (Table 1 ).
The interaction of probability and value is significant in Study 2 and marginally significant in Study 1.
No other effects approached significance.
