Furthermore, every 5% increase in transboundary water resources has a decreasing trend, which shows that although increasing water diversion quantity from transboundary river basins was conducive to socio-economic development, the utilization efficiency of water resources of transboundary river basins decreased.
Previous studies that approached SmO 2 using other NIRS positioned in the vastus lateralis during a dynamic maximum knee extension exercise obtained results that were very similar to those obtained in this study, revealing that the knee extension exercise caused a slight increase in this variable and then a decreasing trend according to all the publications consulted [ 19 , 35 , 36 , 37 ].
Several of the significant determinants of CIM in the European sample of this study are also significant in Hong Kong, e.g., distance to school, age, neighborhood settlement types (in our sample: street connectivity, accessibility of public transportation, and availability of open spaces), and density are significant in both Europe and Hong Kong, but household income is significant in Hong Kong but only marginally significant in Europe.
When participants were classified by tertiles of BPA and Σbisphenol concentrations, a significantly increased risk was observed for the women in the second versus first tertile [OR 3.7; 95%CI 1.3–10.3 and OR 5.4; 95%CI 1.9–15.6, respectively] ( Figure 1 ), although a significant trend was not observed ( p -trend > 0.100).
In addition, TBARS concentrations showed a close-to-significant relationship with increased endometriosis risk [OR 1.6; 95%CI 1.0–2.8], and classification by TBARS concentration tertile revealed that the association between endometriosis risk and concentrations of BPA [OR 2.0; 95%CI 1.0–4.1] and Σbisphenols [OR 2.2; 95%CI 1.0–4.6] was only statistically significant for women in the highest TBARS tertile (>4.23 μM).
In a study aimed at determining the prognostic factors of perceived health 3 months after surgery, the use of walking aids before the fracture was evidenced as a significant and independent risk factor for a low PCS-12 score, PCS-12 score prefracture, and cognitive dysfunction, while the only statistically significant and independent risk factor for a low MCS-12 score was the prefracture MCS-12 score, and while the female gender demonstrated marginal significance [ 46 ].
As the significance test for small coefficients that are of no practical significance tends to be statistically significant in a large sample [ 24 ], we chose the absolute value of correlation coefficient > 0.3 [ 25 ] as the threshold of being practically significant in this study.
Interactive Effects of RH and Air Pollution on FeNO The interactive effect between RH and PM 2.5 showed a nonsignificant trend towards an increase in FeNO for days with medium (percentage change = 0.02; 95% CI: −0.02 to 0.05) and high (percentage change = 0.02; 95% CI: −0.02 to 0.06) PM 2.5 concentrations compared to days with low PM 2.5 concentrations ( Table 4 ).
