Early (60-day) and long-term (two-year) survival analysis showed a trend towards worse survival in the group of COVID-19 patients supported with ECMO and undergoing LuTx vs. patients undergoing LuTx with ECMO, but without COVID-19, and it was 55.6% vs. 87.0% and 33.3% vs. 55.4%, respectively ( Figure 11 ). 3.7.
Excerpts
The total cholesterol exhibited a decreasing trend among sarcopenic patients, with lower median values in the SARC+/HF+ group (160 mg/dL (129; 195)) compared to the SARC−/HF− group (173 (150; 203)), though without reaching statistical significance ( p = 0.150).
The same analysis indicated a trend towards significance when comparing maxillary and mandibular equal-implant-number-supported restorations without, however, meeting the conventional thresholds for statistical significance.
Worldwide data from 2016 showed that 39% of adults were overweight and 13% were obese, with BMI showing an increasing trend between 1975 and 2016 [ 4 ].
For example, studies have shown a stronger association between the female sex and statin-related side effects, such as statin-associated muscle symptoms (SAMSs); our data reveal a statistical trend related to sex-based differences [ 25 , 34 , 35 , 36 , 37 , 38 ].
Severe deficiency showed a trend for transient hypoparathyroidism but not for permanent cases [ 13 ].
In contrast, sex, hearing loss duration, and the mode of hearing loss onset did not reach statistical significance in relation to either audiometric outcome, although hearing loss duration showed a trend toward significance given the proximity of its p -values to the 0.05 threshold. 3.4.
In addition to these significant findings, several other items (e.g., Questions 6 and 16) demonstrated p -values approaching significance, suggesting further possible behavioral trends warranting further study.
Nevertheless, our results showed a trend toward lower levels of BPA in serum harvested from breast cancer patients compared to patients with reproductive system cancer.
Poland is among the countries whose population faces a high risk of breast cancer, with an increasing trend over time having also being reported [ 13 , 14 , 15 ].
Between the two cohorts, highly significant differences were observed with regard to all sub-categories of both the COMPASS-31 score as well as the KCCQ.
As expected, a highly significant correlation was found between the TG/HDL-C ratio and both HDL-C and triglycerides, since this ratio includes the same variables.
The use of NOACs demonstrated an increasing trend over the study period, with a higher proportion of patients being prescribed these medications in recent years (4% in 2019 to 30% in 2023–2024). 4.3.
Regarding the endocrine function, hyperglycemia was noted at baseline (mean serum glucose 120.75 ± 49.89 mg/dL), with a decreasing trend and normalization observed at follow-up.
a clear trendgold
There was a clear trend of increasing symptom severity in patients with severe PEI.
While no significant differences were observed in terms of patient or graft survival ( p = 0.72 and p = 0.51, respectively), the incidence of eGFR < 60 ml/min/1.73 m 2 showed a trend approaching statistical significance, being higher among recipients from living donors compared to deceased donors (79.2% vs. 45.7% after 10 years of follow-up, respectively; p = 0.07). 4.
1 or 2) was not statistically significant in univariate (HR: 1.687; 95% CI: 0.912–3.121; p = 0.096) or multivariate analysis (HR, 1.415; 95% CI, 0.718–2.787; p = 0.316), although it showed a trend toward a worse prognosis ( Table 3 ).
Due to the challenges of acquiring samples from healthy controls, the control group presents fairly significant heterogeneity, which could lead to masked or misleading results and inaccurate conclusions.
A study based on WHO statistics indicated that syphilis, chlamydia, trichomoniasis, and genital herpes showed an increasing trend [ 1 ].
Bacterial STIs showed a decreasing trend.
The benefit of projecting the trend to 2035 is to highlight that, given the current strategies being employed to reduce Cardiac Arrest mortality rates, the decline projected to 2035 is not quite significant, which indicates that the current measures to mitigate Cardiac Arrest mortality are very likely to be insufficient, at least to 2035.
The comparison between our study group and older individuals with DCP showed a trend toward more limitations in the older group.
Creatinine decreased significantly during surgery and then increased to its previous level (except for patients with AKI), whereas GFR increased significantly during surgery and remained at a higher level close to significance.
Both minimally invasive approaches, robotic and laparoscopic, showed a trend toward lower blood loss and transfusion requirements compared to the open technique.
Furthermore, numerous moderately significant correlations were also found.
