In addition, antibiotic-resistant serotype 19A emerged as replacement disease following the introduction of the first-generation pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV7) in early 2000s, and became highly significant in the epidemiology of pneumococcal infections until immunization with PCV13 greatly reduced its prevalence [ 32 ].
Excerpts
Based on the AMOVA analysis the ‘Wild European and Cultivated’ versus the ‘Wild American’ comparison was highly significant (12.5% of the total variance), while no statistical significance was found between the ‘Wild European’ versus the ‘Wild American and Cultivated’ comparison.
The present analysis of a continental-scale pollen data set reveals an increasing trend in the yearly amount of airborne pollen for many taxa in Europe, which is more pronounced in urban than semi-rural/rural areas.
Fragmentation The number of charcoal fragments after compression exhibited an increasing trend with increasing temperature ( Fig 4A ).
In particular, there is still an increasing trend towards paddy land abandonment in Mountainous Areas.
(2005) [ 71 ] found soil pH to be uncorrelated with the maximum P sorption, whereas Agbenin (1996) [ 72 ] observed an increasing trend in P sorption with increasing pH in some savannah soils.
Our results are consistent with previous knowledge considering that APACHE II score is a general marker of critical illness and hypoalbuminemia has a highly significant correlation with mortality [ 24 ].
Notably, the oral administration of SA along with Cr showed a slightly non-significant reduction in the expression of HSP70 protein, while the expression of caspase-3 was significantly reduced (p ≤ 0 . 05) upon administration of SA in group IV, compared to the Cr-intoxicated group.
Counts of prokaryotic cells using SEM imaging, showed a decreasing trend of cell density in the more landward-adapted species ( Fig 5 ). qPCR analysis ( Fig 6 ) corroborates (i) the SEM counting indicating that most of the prokaryotic cells imaged by SEM may belong to the bacteria Domain, and (ii) the significant decrease of bacterial numbers toward the supratidal species.
This association was more pronounced in women than in men and remained highly significant across different age groups.
Overall, hospitals performed technically less efficiently but presented with an increasing trend.
Minimum questing activity in summer We found a decreasing trend for the annual minimum questing activity during the summer season (1 June till 31 August) for all years between 1949 and 2099 ( Fig 7 ).
The inflammatory markers were noted to be higher in more severe groups and this difference was apparent on day 1 of presentation.
We observed small values of D (mean 0.24), indicating that the deviation of each subsample from the uniform distribution is small, and moderate values of p (mean 0.2, with 32% of the p values<0.05), suggesting that this deviation from uniformity is at best only marginally significant ( Figure 4A ).
an overall trendgold
There was an overall trend towards decreased thickness in high BMI patients, but only two measurements reached statistical significance: temporal retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) (Standardized mean difference (SMD): -0.33, 95% confidence interval (CI): -0.53 to -0.14, p<0.01) and the choroidal region 1.0 mm nasal to fovea (SMD: -0.38, 95% CI: -0.60 to -0.16, p<0.01).
A subsequent, more stringent univariate analysis (volcano plot) was performed to identify highly significant variables contributing to the age group separation in these blocks.
However, such lifetime production may be significant for PA (i.e., a given painting cannot be exhibited simultaneously in two or more museums), in general, and for the very productive Van Gogh, in particular.
Contrary to the previous findings in the literature, our results suggest almost no association between income and WTPP, except for a marginally significant effect for the $40K - $60K group, compared to those who make less than $40K.
According to Assumptions 3 and 5, we give a distribution function considering fault introduction with a decreasing trend over time.
The results are highly significant increases in Medicaid coverage ( S1 Appendix ), confirming it is reasonable to investigate downstream effects such as SNAP participation.
The age-specific distribution of seropositivity rates disclosed an increasing trend from young children <4 years old (23.3%) to a peak in adolescents at 10–17 years of age (55.4%; Table 1 ).
Marginally significant clusters were either eliminated during template building (see below), or else generated fits that were themselves discarded during spike fitting (Step 3) and evaluation of template reliability (Step 4).
Using the comparative analysis of the D values of the 18 subjects, we found that even drivers who overestimated their speed showed a trend of first decrease and then increase in the D values after entering the curve.
Studies in Australia, the United Kingdom, Italy and Brazil have reported an increasing trend, raising global concerns [ 24 – 27 ].
Though, D3 and D4 showed slightly higher mRNAs which were almost close to being significant.
