Under these conditions we found that lumacaftor significantly reduces THP-1 phagocytosis (p < 0.01), and a marginally significant trend (p = 0.099) suggesting that ivacaftor may also reduce phagocytosis.
Excerpts
Both PERMANOVA and ANOSIM analysis indicated that cooking oil and the diet (vegetarian v/s non-vegetarian v/s eggetarian) to have marginally significant effects on the genus level composition on the gut microbiomes (P-value < 0.099; Table 5 ).
2e ) in the Iba-1-positive cells and an increase in the number of Iba-1-positive cells, indicating an increasing trend (SPS: n = 5; sham: n = 6; t = −1.421, p = 0.099, one-tailed Welch’s t-test, Fig. 6f ).
It was almost significant at the day of hatching (day 1:RVI = 0.56, p = 0.099) and day 12 (RVI = 0.62, p = 0.067) as well, highlighting its importance for survival throughout the whole period in the nest.
A clear trend towards upregulation of the skin barrier proteins involucrin (IVL, 1.4-fold; p = 0.099; Fig. 2b ) and loricrin (LOR, 1.6-fold; p = 0.5218; Fig. 2c ), as well as the tight junction proteins occludin (OCLN, 1.4-fold, Fig. 2d ) and claudin-1 (CLDN-1, 1.2-fold, p = 0.036, Fig. 2e ) in FLG − compared to FLG + skin equivalents was observed, in line with previous reports from our group 13 .
A near-significant association was also observed between miR-133a and HDL-C (β = −0.213, P = 0.099).
Subsequent post-hoc tests indicated that the normal group had significantly lower bias RT compared to first-episode SZ patients ( P = 0.029) and MDD patients (marginally significant at P = 0.099).
In the time window of the ERAN component (140–240 ms), the main effect of developmental pattern was significant, F (2, 62) = 7.246, p = 0.002, η p 2 = 0.206; the interaction between developmental pattern and anteriority was significant, F (4, 124) = 5.867, p < 0.001, η p 2 = 0.173; the interaction between developmental pattern and hemisphere was marginally significant, F (4, 124) = 2.001, p = 0.099, η p 2 = 0.067; the interaction between developmental pattern, hemisphere and anteriority was significant, F (8, 248) = 2.501, p = 0.013, η p 2 = 0.082; and the main effect of hemisphere and anteriority and their interaction were all significant, F s ≥ 5.234, p s < 0.001, η p 2 s ≥ 0.157.
Considering the presence of intergroup conflict, we only found a statistical trend in the three-way interaction between sex, group composition and context (F 1,541 = 2.724, p = 0.099, η 2 = 0.005).
Although a small trend towards an egocentric preference in elderly subjects was observed, the factor age (Wald χ 2 (2) = 2.714, p = .099) did not have a significant influence on reference frame use.
Importantly, the group-by-condition interaction was marginally significant [ F (2, 76) = 2.40, p = .099, η2 p = .06].
0.33 ± 0.13 MPa), though this difference narrowly missed significance ( p = 0.099).
Marginally statistically significant associations were noted for specific deaths from ischemic heart disease (aHR = 1.44, trend test P = 0.0992) and cerebral ischemic stroke (aHR = 1.66, trend test P = 0.0667), respectively, but no significant gradient relationship was noted for death from cerebral hemorrhage stroke (aHR = 1.23, trend test, P = 0.6278).
Genes involved in starch and sucrose metabolism and amino sugar and nucleotide metabolism were affected by the factor group: the former had a higher relative abundance in CON and MUL than MUH ( p < 0.01), whereas the latter showed an increasing trend in MUL compared to MUH ( p < 0.1).
In each model, we observed a significant main effect for time (model 7: t (1260) = 8.693, β = 0.143, p < 0.001) as well as a marginally significant main effect for the right dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) (model 7: t (1260) = 1.837, β = 0.078, p < 0.1).
showed a trendp = 0.10
Employment status also did not have a significant association, although not being employed, showed a trend towards increased positive attitudes (OR = 1.62, 95% CI 0.91–2.87, p = 0.10).
There were marginally significant 3-way interactions among the WMH quintiles, stroke subtypes, and stroke severity ( p = 0.10).
For multiple logistic analysis, we incorporated several important factors that were likely to be significant (at P < 0.1) and that avoided multicollinearity, as follows: elderly patients (> 65 years old), visit to the health care facility after 24 h, presence of fever, absence of abdominal tenderness, elevated CRP (above 10 mg/L), night shift, first visit to a teaching hospital, unavailability of urgent radiology reports, first visit to the clinic, and examination by a non-generalist.
borderline significanceP ≤ 0.1
When building a logistic regression model, the variables with borderline significance between the sexes at baseline (P ≤ 0.1: age, hypertension, NIHSS of 0 at baseline) were independent risk factors for poor functional outcome (P = 0.001) but none of them were independent risk factors for poor social outcome.
approached significancep = 0.10
Demographical and clinical characteristics that approached significance with p = 0.10 as a cutoff were included in multivariable analyses.
Subjects in the highest PM 2.5 quartile for entire pregnancy had significantly higher PSS scores (p-value < 0.05), whereas those in the highest quartile for NO 2 exposure during the first trimester showed only a marginally significant association (p-value < 0.1) (Supplementary Table S3 ).
However, statistically significant (p-value < 0.05) or near-significant (p-value < 0.1) log-fold changes were only detected in four bacteria, all belonging to the phylum Firmicutes, and exhibiting somewhat low relative abundances in the gut microbiota of most hosts (Fig. 3 c).
A statistical significance between comparisons was defined when P ≤ 0.05 and a statistical trend was defined as 0.05 < P ≤ 0.10.
These robustness analyses (Table 2 ) reveal consistent findings with those presented in Table 1 for H2, but we do find evidence consistent with H1 (a marginally significant point estimate of 0.331, p < 0.1 for value aligned treatments, i.e., an increase in donations of 0.3 of a token).
An increasing current trend is found in the summer (0.07 cm/s/year, P > 0.1), but there is a decreasing trend in the winter (− 0.05 cm/s/year, P > 0.1).
