Of note, genes with a consistent linear increase (Cluster 3) showed a highly significant overrepresentation of ECM and collagen genes corroborating the establishment of pro-fibrotic processes in the liver over time.

Since in the present study, participants’ BMI has been unaffected by soy isoflavone supplementation, thus, an increasing trend in fetuin A level could be described in this way.

The best alternative brain reconfiguration associated with the verbal fluency scores was significant in some measures including Pearson’s correlation, wavelet coherence, and cross-correlation and marginally significant in some others such as Earth mover’s distance.

Of note, periodic acid-Schiff (PAS) staining indicated that the melatonin-treated control group displayed drastically increased goblet cells in colons, whereas TLR4 KO mice showed a trend toward decreased goblet cells compared to WT mice (Fig. 1e,f,i,j ).

qRT-PCR showed significantly increased expression of Mtnr1a and an increasing trend of Mtnr1b in colons of melatonin-administered mice compared to vehicle-treated groups when also treated with DSS (Fig. 2c ).

While the difference was not significant, melatonin-treated groups showed a decreasing trend in Bacteroidetes and an increasing trend of Firmicutes relative abundance compared to vehicle-treated groups (Fig. 3c ) as previous studies 17 , 28 .

However, a notable trend of increasing bioturbation intensity is present in the shallow inner to mid-ramp during deposition of the Nudaus Formation 55 , within the middle part of the Nama Group succession (Fig. 2g ).

Although not statistically significant, there is a notable trend of reduction in BV/TV and Tb.Th in all groups further along in the experimental period from day 1 to 7 (Supplementary Fig. 3 ).

ricinus , the mean intensity of nymphs showed a trend of increase with the average body mass of the hosts, unlike in the case of Ha. concinna nymphs.

Genotypic effects were highly significant and heritability values were high (0.52–0.98) for all agronomic traits and grain Zn concentration while lower heritabilities were observed for Fe, viz . 0.22 in S3 and 0.49 in S1 (Table 1 ).
