The intersection is statistically highly significant (p < 2 -16 ).
Excerpts
We repeated the moving average analysis (see Materials and Methods) comparing the distribution of mutations in the HS cluster and WT V regions and again found a highly significant positive correlation ( r = 0.52, P < 2 × 10 −16 ).
The regression coefficients for height, weight, age and sex were all highly significant (p<2x10 -16 ) but none of the principal components for ancestry had a significant association.
As expected, the PY effect was highly significant (P < 2 × 10 −16 ), and the smoking group W5Y remained significant after correcting for PY (P = 0.008).
Importantly, the interaction between category and location was also highly significant (β = .165, t = 9.386, p < 2e−16), indicating that the correlation between VWFA‐2 and the IFC was significantly stronger compared to the other ventral ROIs.
We found 1341 of 4404 that passed QC in our own study (30.4%) were nominally associated with ethnicity (p<0.05), which represented a highly significant (p<2×10 −16 ) enrichment.
Immune gene expression differs by tissue The overall effect of tissue (gut versus whole body) on gene expression was highly significant (MANOVA, F 1,89 = 31.34, p < 2 × 10 −16 ).
The two factors were therefore stimulus contrast (0–64%), which produced a highly significant effect, F (6, 1287) = 171.83, p < 2 × 10 −16 , equivalent d = 1.78, and mask contrast (0 and 32%) which produced a smaller effect, F (1, 1287) = 12.89, p < .0004, equivalent d = 0.19.
Vials of APSA stored on ice in the fridge for up to 22 months and then sampled at a dilution factor of 1/250,000 (DF 250,000) prior to assay showed extreme sample to sample variation in enzyme activity and a trend to lower OD values over time with a highly significant effect of the storage time on the detection limit (ANOVA p ≤ 2E-16, Regression p < 0.043) ( Fig. 2 A).
The smooth terms for longitude and latitude were highly significant, indicating that both geographical coordinates are important predictors of macroplastic concentration ( p < 2e-16, n = 206 for ScriptR results from GAM test, Supplementary Figure S5.2).
Thus, it is not surprising that the separation of nationalities due to the co‐dispersion along these two axes is highly significant (MANOVA: P < 2e–16).
There was significant evidence of genome-wide selection for stripe rust resistance over the 11 years in the population, as demonstrated by a negative G ^ value ( G ^ = − 0.26) and a highly significant ( p = 2 × 10 –16 ) difference between the observed G ^ and the null distribution of 1000 permuted G ^ perm values (Fig. 3 A).
Additionally, no effect of larvae stage was observed for NCR whereas the other factors were highly significant ( p value <2.10 −16 and 1.39.10 −8 for Paraquat concentration and NAC, respectively).
A paired t-test confirms that this difference is evidently highly significant (p-value<2.10 -16 ).
This difference is highly significant ( Figure 2A , Figure 2—figure supplement 1 , p-value<2.10 −16 ).
The haplotype (rs2004640T–rs2280714T) involved in both the alternative splice donor site and the elevated expression of IRF5 also had a highly significant association with SLE (pooled, P = 2.11 × 10 -16 ).
This overlap was highly significant as represented by the odds ratio of 38.41-fold over what would be expected by random chance and the p -value < 2.16E-16 (two-sided binomial test).
The concordance score based on the χ 2 -test is highly significant (p < 2.2e-16), and the overall accuracy to clinical types is 71.6%, as measured by rand measure, a metric for the percentage of agreement on a pair of samples belonging to the same group.
Consistent with this, many of these genes (80/173) were also downregulated in the DIG1 residual profile, a highly significant enrichment (Fisher’s exact test, 1-tailed: P < 2.2e−16).
This finding of 50% sensitivity (considering only the peaks that strictly overlap a site) is highly significant (Fisher’s exact test; P < 2.2 e –16) and is a strong indication of the quality of the results, all the more so as the literature derived studies were performed in a variety of species and cell types.
RNA-seq and CAGE of CdLS neurons showed highly significant overlap (Odds ratio = 11.86, P < 2.2e-16).
We observed a highly significant rate of concordance and overlap between cerebellar expression profiles of Atxn1 −/− and Atxn1 154Q /+ mice (z = 11.9485, P -value<2.2e-16, Kendall-τ test).
2d and e ) and the Pearson correlation of these DNAm changes is highly significant ( p < 2.2 × 10 −16 ).
Interestingly, we have observed a much higher number of negatively correlated mRNAs than positively correlated ones with the medians of 430 and 1,022 for the positively and negatively co-expressed transcripts respectively, and the trend towards negative correlation was highly significant ( p value <2.2E16, Wilcoxon signed rank test) (Fig. 2 e, Additional file 1 : Supplemental Table S4).
Comparing these data to that of Lmd revealed that a large (79.7%) and highly significant ( p <2.2×10 −16 , Fisher's exact test) proportion of Lmd direct target genes are also directly regulated by Mef2 ( Figure 1D ).
