To confirm that the reported effects are not isolated and support the structure of the comparisons shown, we ran Friedman tests as non‐parametric omnibus tests which yielded highly significant results (alpha band, p < 0.00001 , χ 2 = 115.93 , Kendall's W = 0.68 ; gamma band p < 0.00001 , χ 2 = 120.6 , Kendall's W = 0.7 ).

In a meta‐analysis of six studies of CRT, the 95% CIs for the improvement in peak VO 2 with CRT went from 0.32 to 3.22 mL/kg/min, with borderline significance, P = 0.017, 35 compared with the narrower CI, and more highly significant effect seen here: 95% CIs for the improvement in peak VO 2 with CCM between 0.56 and 1.30 mL/kg/min, P < 0.00001, giving a considerably more precise estimate of efficacy and of increased statistical significance.
A correlation matrix was calculated for these genes, using Pearson Product-Moment Coefficient, defined as r x , y = ∑ i = 1 n ( x i − x ̄ ) ( y i − y ̄ ) ( n − 1 ) δ x δ y The values of Pearson correlations above 0.3 are statistically highly significant (p-value < 0.00001 after Bonferroni correction for multiple testing [ 85 ]).

Interestingly, investigation of intragenic relationships between VastDB AS events reveals that pairs of cassette exons (especially in the case of neighboring exons) and pairs of retained introns within the same gene show highly significant correlation of inclusion or retention levels across samples from each species ( P < 10 −5 , Wilcoxon rank-sum test) ( Supplemental Fig.
