Genetic structure was highly structured among these groups of populations (AMOVA; permutation tests highly significant, P <0.00001), meaning that most of the genetic variability was partitioned among groups (77.28%), and only a small proportion of the variability was partitioned among populations within groups (14.71%) or within populations (8.003%).
Excerpts
In multivariate analysis, a significant correlation between CRE acquisition and weeks of hospital stay was seen ( p < 0.001), however not with healthcare cost, the latter likely due to highly significant ( p < 0.00001) co-variation between healthcare cost and weeks of hospital stay.
The highly significant similarity of gene expression from same-host papillomas suggested that germline polymorphisms affect constitutive levels of gene expression in benign tumors ( P < 0.00001 by permutation; see Materials and methods).
Therefore, there is a highly significant difference in the expression of functional GABA B receptors on VTA GABA neurons compared to VTA dopamine neurons ( P <0.00001, Fisher exact test), making this property the most reliable pharmacological difference between GABAergic and dopaminergic VTA populations.
There was a highly significant positive correlation between male and female suicide rates in both the 65-74 years (rho=+0.87, P<0.00001) and 75+ years (rho=+0.89, P<0.00001) age-bands.
For example, the differences in −6 nucleotide frequencies between our data set and the reference panel were highly significant (p<0.00001), yet the preference for guanine did not change; rather, the strength of the preference increased while the use of thymine at this position decreased in our refined panel.
This effect size is also highly significant at a level of 0.01 ( P < 0.00001).
Two other groups that are characterized by significant differences from all the other groups are the populations from the North Caucasus (Dargins, Avars, and Lezgins), the Bashkirs, and the Khakas. The total level of genetic differentiation of the pool consisting of 17 populations turned out to be relatively high ( F st = 0.0267, or 2.67%) and highly significant ( p > 0.00001).
At the population level, mean accuracy averaged over all participants and stimulus sets (including different word sets and continuous sentences from different speakers) was highly significant (mean accuracy r = 0.28, p <10 −5 , one-sample t test, df = 14).
Six clusters of eQTL were each associated to a highly significant chisquare test for enrichment of eQTL in the referenced genome segment (p value < 10 -5 , Additional file 4 ).
The combined effect for these inter-correlations was highly significant [Friedman ANOVA Chi Square ( N = 36, df = 2) = 72.00; p < 0.00001; Kendall Coeff. of Concordance = 1.0000 Aver. rank r = 1.0000].
The outcomes of the study outlined a statistically highly significant negative correlation between the level of education and drug use (Pearson test, R (38) = −0.9282; p < 0.00001).
In contrast, a highly significant increase in midbody-flanking Sept2 ( p -value < 0.00001) and a corresponding decrease in Sept2 at the central midbody ( p -value < 0.00001) were detected relative to the Jurkat CypA+/+ cells ( Figure 1 E).
This difference was highly significant (F (1, 38) = 25.34; p = 0.00001).
This revealed a total of 52 out of 176 neurofeedback runs that achieved high regulation (~30%; median per participant: 2; MAD: 1.7; range: 0–6), which was highly significant according to binomial testing ( P < 0.00001) (Fig. 2C ).
In adjusted multivariate analysis, the only factor that was significantly associated with chromosome 3p loss was having a VHL gene alteration, and the association was highly significant (OR = 1250; 95% CI:476–3125, p<0.00001).
As expected from the voxel-wise analysis, all the regions of interest (AI, OP3, OP4, OP8, PIC, PIVC) show highly significant activations in the “Visual + vestibular” > “Visual only” contrast, with FDR adjusted p values < 10 −5 in all cases (Fig. 3 b).
As was the case with secretion, the differences in cell retention for wild-type and mutant versions of Wnt1 are highly significant (p<1×10 −5 ).
The detected linkage disequilibrium was highly significant in both cases (P<10 −5 ).
The list of nominally significant CpGs ( p < 1 × 10 −5 ) sorted by their p-value for low and high audiometric frequencies are depicted.
In splenic macrophages from arthritic mice treated with TNFα targeting but not with control siRNA, we found a decrease of intracellular TNFα staining indicating effective silencing ( Figure 6b ).Overall, the effect of treatment on mean fluorescent intensity value is highly significant according to an ANOVA ( F = 17.061, P < 10 −5 ).
The difference in the number of genes identified by KC-RBM and the second-best method, NGM, is highly significant ( P < 10 −5 , based on a permutation approach).
The mean behaviour of these groups of genes in response to heat shock displays a highly significant positive correlation (Pearson r = 0.312, p < 0.00001, Spearman r = 0.314, p < 0.00001; electronic supplementary material, file S2), such that those mRNAs corresponding genes more distant from transcription initiation sites increase in abundance while those close to transcription initiation sites decrease.
A non-linear correlation was visible between the two variables with a highly significant coefficient ( r = 0.891; P < 0.00001).
Larger F ST and highly significant values were observed when distance matrices based on the U20_BFDSC genotypes were compared with those of East or South Asian and African populations ( p < 0.00001) ( Table 2 ).
