The RCS analysis indicated a significant association between OBS and retinopathy, with a decreasing trend (Overall P = 0.016, Non-linear P = 0.106) (Fig. 3 C).

Trends in the annual number rate of ITH per 100 000 person‐years from 2018 to 2022 The age‐adjusted ITH number across all age groups per 100 000 person‐years showed a decreasing annual trend for males, an increasing annual trend for females, and eventually a decreasing trend for both sexes (RR = 0.993, 0.984, and 1.003 for both sexes, males, and females, respectively; p < 0.0167) (Table 1 ).
